Yes they did have a one make series called the Europa Cup for the Renault 21 Turbo, it supported the European based Grand Prix rounds and ran in 1989 and 1990 having replaced the Alpine V6 Turbo that was previously used for the Europa Cup.

Massimo Sigala won the 21 Turbo Europa Cup in 1989 & 1990, the Europa Cup wasn't run in 1991 and in 1992 the championship switched to the Clio for the first time. Nowadays the championship has morphed into the Eurocup Renault Mégane V6 Trophy which forms part of the World Series by Renault package

The car in the picture is now owned by Bob Claxton but I understand it was the car that Michael Bleekemolen ran in the championship in period in full Samson cigarette livery. Hope that helps Chevron, I'll now take the anorak back off!!

Hi Dan. I'm out on a stag do in Leeds tomorrow evening so might be a bit delicate on Sunday. However, we're commencing proceedings at 1pm so it'll be a miracle if I'm awake later than 9pm. On that basis I might make it! Drop me a text on Sunday morning dude.

Some of mine from the Autograss BAS Round 3 at Gloucester over the weekend. All shot through the catch fencing so quality/shutter speeds not what I'd prefer due to having to push the aperture to blur the fencing.

Great pics dude! When did that pickup spin?

Happen to have any of the BS-Motorsport cars from the Ma5da championship? I was working as a race mechanic supporting car 72 at Rockingham smile

Cheers. Think the spin was quite early on, i'd just got up onto the pitwall when I heard the tyre screeching. Made a big old thunk as it made contact with the wall, then slithered its way down onto the grass by the pit wall!

Only got a couple of the BS cars - think most of my pics are from different groups. Not my best work, I'm afraid!...

Evening chaps - I'm currently in sunny Belgium. Stopping over in the Ardennes for this year's Belgian GP.

Couple of (fairly mediocre) shots from yesterday's sodden practice day. I'll get some up from today shortly.

Couple of photos from today in case anyone's interested.

Amazing watching the tyre deflection through Pouhon.

Senna dives into Rivage.

And your pole sitter.

Several hours later. At this point we were 2nd. Sadly retired at 16 hours though, endurance racing is bloody hard!

Really not sure if this is relevant or interesting at all but I'll persist!

My dad and I are currently touring around Europe, the purpose of the trip being to visit the Belgian and Italian Grand Prix with Goodwood Revival to close everything off. I've shared a couple of shots from Spa but thought these might be of some vague interest. I'm afraid they feature yours truly!

This was my first ride in a pre-war car. The owner of the hotel we stayed in near Spa was a car nut and owns this immaculate 1938 MG K-Type racer. He took me for a quick spin around the Belgian lanes - an amazing experience.

Then we proceeded on to the Nurburgring where we did the tour of the place. Only had a couple of hours but just long enough to snatch a shot of dad's car outside the main concourse.

Finally I had the opportunity to spectate on the circuit which has fascinated me since I was a kid - the Nordsleife. We watched a group of extremely committed Porsche owners. Wow - that place is something else and this view was accessible from the highway, you just park up and watch.

Sorry none of this relates to club racing but it's all motor sport one way or another!

Looks like a fun trip! Pre-war stuff's great fun - nothing beats the smell of oil and leather and the clatter of valve gear - I grew up being carted about in the sidecar of a 20s motorbike (in the 80s, I'm not that old!) and I love that era!

And they're all motorsport related - and you've basically kept this thread alive so carry on! I've got some club pic's from the weekend to sort out later, so I'll bung them up soon.

Got my tickets for the Goodwood Revival earlier in the week too. First time I've been for the whole weekend for a few years - should meet for a beer and talk Exiges smile

Smashing idea! I'm there all 3 days too so would be great to chat Lotus and old cars :-)

The MG was fantastic - nearest I've been to it was a 1969 Lotus 7 but that was luxurious by comparison. Loved it!

Today we crossed the Stelvio Pass down to Milan. Quite a drive! We called in at the BMW Museum in Munich yesterday.
