Third car in the 'train' has the right front tyre on the wrong way round. Wonder if it was purely a mistake or whether he considers there to be some benefit.

She, or perhaps her team, did it deliberately. Not sure myself but some people think they work better run the wrong way round in the dry.

Yes, sorry about that. I've been posting any old crap recently as the thread seemed quiet but should probably be more judicious in my posting.

Sadly missed the Sports / Saloon race on Saturday but did thoroughly enjoy the Legends and HRDC Allstars races on Sunday at Donington. The Allstars get a mention and a few pics in the report - though that is possibly insufficient.

Will moderate in future.

Yeah, sorry in attendance on Sunday. I do love NW Sports and Saloons though! The black Vectra was still in the paddock - on the back of a trailer - but otherwise the whole field had already left by Sunday so couldn't even check out the runners resting in the paddock.

I'm hoping to have a bit more time for pure club events next season - been to lots of stuff this season but quite a lot of it professional stuff.

I'm at the Bathurst 1000 in a few weeks and will endeavour to get some shots of the support races to add an Antipodean flavour to things :-)

How's the Rallye running, by the way?

Not sure about them being better but unless they have some water to disperse, they're no worse; so you can pick a tyre with better shoulders and put it on a corner where it will be more good, ignoring the tread pattern.

CR500s have a habit of delaminating in the dry on caterhams on track, so the convention is to run them backwards.

Makes no difference but you are correct was a historical thing many years ago some people stick to.
