It didn't make enough money! Also having repeating subscriptions makes your company more valuable.

It might be interesting at some point. The idea of it receiving live timing to display in the car is quite clever if you are into that sort of thing (and can afford the Eu350 per year).

I guess you didn't test it by just powering up and going racing?
We were doing lots of dynos runs and it just kept flashing red fast. t only stopped when I updated/reactivated it. It says this in the manual.. This was my issue..

4.4. Reactivate the X2 RaceKey and X2 Transponder

To ensure the functionality of your X2 Transponder, reactivate it periodically with the X2
RaceKey (at least once every 5 days). When the transponder is not reactivated, it will stop
sending out its transponder number, and the subscription indicator light will flash red 5 times
per second.

Come across several people at race meetings this year frantically looking for laptops so they can plug the transponder in to activate it.

Glad I've still got the old 260 wired in. These new ones are just one more thing to wrong.

You're lucky then Bert because mine defo un activates itself after an indeterminate period of time. Now I know how to re do it I'm fine but the search for that was frustrating as I thought it was borked. However if you left it and it happened at track it would be a pain.

Altogether not a very good solution really.
