If you’re looking to keep the engine standard you’ll need to lose 250kg out of the car to be on the power to weight for Class B.

I think you’d be better building it heavy and reliable and aiming for Class C.

Class C is where the 330 is pace-wise IMHO.

Class C E36 328i is leading the overall Club Enduro Championship at the moment.

Can’t really help as I don’t do BMWs. And prep tends to be pretty car specific, finding weak points and reengineering them.

Heat management is important on most cars.

One thing I would recommend, if you can afford it, is proper FIA dry break fuelling. It’s much safer and it’s so much quicker it gives you time in the pit stops to sort out any issues that might crop up. Obviously not necessary for Roadsports though.

Hi, mods I hope this is ok as I can't email the OP directly - hoping he can get back to me by email.

I've got a mostly-stripped e46 330ci that I won't get around to building back up again.
Plus a Safety Devices rear cage with rear strut tower reinforcement, just needs a Safety Devices front cage to complete it.
And a load of motorsport prep parts if you needed them - polycarb, race battery, extinguishers, e46-specific seat mount, loads of other stuff.
Full spec is on Retro Rides cars for sale if you're interested.

It'd save you a lot of time taking on a stripped shell instead of starting from a road car hence letting you know about it here.

I would echo what others have said. M3 cup car is the way to go and a new build is about £25kish from Luke etc. It is also competative in Roadsports, Club Enduro but would struggle in CSCC NM without spending double again.
