Fury 919 Blade - race series?

Does anyone know a race series and class that a fisher fury running a 919cc motorbike engine and circa 130bhp could not only run in but also be competitive or at least stand half a chance.

The RGB class have upgraded engines to the 1000cc and the 919cc just wouldn't' be competitive anymore. I was wondering if there are any alternative series that the current spec could be run in competitively?

Not ideal really as it's not a cheap option, and RGB is not like it was it seems, so I was thinking of hopefully running it in something else but still be competitive in its current spec

I am southern based, but it would run in the Welsh sports and saloons which is an option, but they almost entirely race at Pembrey and I was hoping for a mix of circuits.

The championship attracts drivers from all four corners of the country.

And there are 2 rds not at pembrey as well which breaks it up. Depending on dates could be running my turbo charged Exocet in the series as I'm based in south wales myself.

The calendar will be announced soon I think (accordingly to Robert the organiser the other day, but it's usually after the Autosport show)

I believe the plan is to mirror the calendar from this years meetings:

- 4 No. rounds at Pembrey
- 1 No. round at Donny
- 1 No. round at a. n. other circuit (this year the a. n. other round was at Oulton Park)

The racing is clean yet competitive and good value: 15 minutes quali, 2 No. 15 minute + 1 lap races for £300. If more then 20 (or so can't remember now!) entries, you get a rebate as well. At Donny there was more then 30 on the grid and I got £100 back. Doesn't get much cheaper than that.

No I don't get paid for promo! its just a good championship and friendly paddock. We are all racing with our own money.

not a series as such, but they have events all across the UK and accept anything so you'd find someone to race against?

One of the main reasons we moved away from the 919 engine was that they were just getting too expensive to run. In particular, we ended up having to pay Mr Honda's full price for gearbox components (a couple of the gears aren't really up to car racing).

That is, it was cheaper to move to the 1000 engines.

Makes sense and fair enough. Just more cost for me given the spec I currently have.

Based on this season it will be very competitive both in class and at some circuits the chance of a Group 1 overall win in the CSCC Racetruck Open Series (cc based class). The 2019 regs should be out in the next few weeks.

There would be no sense in you upgrading the engine as the car itself wouldn't be competitive now in RGB anyway. As much as I'd love to try and persuade you to come and join us... You'd be better off selling up and buying a rear engined RGB car if you have any aspirations of joining the formula.

yeah but the problem is, as you have highlighted, he is now the proud owner of an uncompetitive car, with limited options to race. So his car is going to be difficult to sell. Best option surely is to have a class structure in RGB, which includes the 919?
