Quick question re the amount payable as it isn’t clear to me, do we calculate the discounted amount (if we held a licence this year) and MSUK verify it or do we enter the full amount and they discount it when they process the application?

Been wondering the same thing myself. Haven’t tried online yet though.

Online it was tick a box and they took it off at the payment stage.

Same for me, last stage of application is a tick box to claim the discount.

Has anyone any idea if helmet or overall regs might change for 2021, I see nothing on the MSA site, but it's all a little confusing at times, so many different specs!!

No, they always give advance warning. Next changes will be 2023 I believe.

Yep, it's all in Section K of the Blue Book and paragraph 10.3.1. Can be found on the Motorsport UK site, and the following helmets are still ok.

ALL MOTORSPORT UK NATIONAL EVENTS
FIA 8860-2004 (Not valid after 31.12.20)
FIA 8860-2010
FIA 8859-2015
SNELL SA2010 (Not valid after 31.12.23)
SNELL SA2015 (Not valid after 31.12.26)
SNELL SAH2010 (Not valid after 31.12.23)
SNELL SA2020

It's actually not been updated since last year, and there is also a new spec for overalls that would be permitted, see FIA 8856-2018. This doesn't change anything for the moment, but you can read up here. https://www.merlinmotorsport.co.uk/knowledge_base_...

You haven't received a blue book for a couple of years.
