Specialist insurance for stage rally car

Hello guys,

Can any of you recommend a specialist insurer for my BMW compact stage rally car?

Essentially its a fully prepared 318body with 328 engine. I want to do a very limited road milage to drive to local events and very occasional shake down/road testing.

I'm struggling to get a sensible quote even from socalled Motorsport specialists.

I'm in my mid thirties with lots of no claims and a full licence.

I spoke with Dave Auden, seems like a top bloke and clearly understands motrosport - i enjoyed hearing about some of his own Rally exploits! Unfortunately his prices weren't competitive at all which was a shame.

Reis were better in the the end i managed to get a classic policy with Classicline which will meet all my needs (i wont need road section cover for events) so i went with them. Lets hope we actually get to use our competition cars this year! Im hopeful, I managed to do a couple of local sprints in the summer which were run in a covid secure way. Interestingly they were better run than normal particularly with online scrutineering done by taking photos of our FIA labels etc pre-event.
