Need to get my extinguisher serviced, but nowhere reasonably nearby and all couriers seem to exclude extinguishers....can anyone recommend a courier that will happily take my extinguisher?

Ask the company servicing it who they propose to send it back to you with

They have no suggestions. They can return it as they are "pre-approved" in some way, but can't help with getting it to them.

Can they instruct their courier to collect from your address?

discharge it and send it to them. That way it's no longer an extinguisher just an empty non pressurised cannister.

No, its all about them being certified to package/send correctly. They wouldn't be packaging, courier won't touch it.

Even if discharged it's still a fire extinguisher, and worth a fair few quid, so don't want it destroyed by trying to get cute with the interpretation of it being a fire extinguisher or not.
