Oh I fully think the Ellis think is Beat able - yep Andy's car with a mildly tweeked LS7 (an easy 570+ just with a road Lingenfelter kit). And the same for an LS7 Mosler (obviously!). If an Alfa Sud can keep it honest, maybe alot of it is the driver (yep I know it is far from a Normal Sud (great cars).

If anyone has seen the Progress of Davids Car it is phenomenal. As Davids gets it sorted it is going to be quicker than those Moslers and will give Richard a good run.

What's the latest ?
Looking at AMOC website forum , it seems that Super GT races may not be happening this year confused.

I have heard that they are not runing it as separate entity anymore. However there will be a few, 3-4, grouped together with another race. I THINK intermarque, but may be wrong on that!

The grids were just too low!

That's a shame , just when it seems that there was renewed interest from potential entries.
IIRC Intermarque dont run slicks, so mixing in a few Super GT could prove interesting scratchchin.

I am not 100% on what they are planning to do regards mixiung in, or just running the odd race on its own, but deffo not a series like last year! I suppose it depends on entries though. But like all things, no entries means no series, lack of series means no entries...

When I last spoke to John, they were looking at rolling a couple of things (including SuperGT) into one, and calling it "Enduro". I guess that means 30-40 minute races. He also confirmed that the SuperGT classes would still exist as-is, but as part of something bigger.

The hope was that if enough "SuperGT" cars turn up, and keep coming, it could be pared off on it's own again.

My car is still on the trailer waiting for workshop space and time, but whatever SuperGT becomes, I'm up for it.

John - speak up! The silence is deafening!

With respect to guys on here, there was a lot of talk of joining, but nobody turned up! It needed Intermarque entries just look like a proper grid.

It would be nice to see longer races, the more track time the better! More chance of the crazier cars blowing up too wink

I had a note from John last week. There are plans to run "Allcomers" races at two AMOC meetings this year, which will allow the SuperGT racers in. There was also a big pow-wow at AMOC HQ to decide the future, so hopefully we'll have some answers very soon.

I'm a little disappointed that it's all gone "Pete Tong", but without the support on the ground, it's not going to happen.

I've got the CTCRC chasing me to join "Classic Thunder", but I'm not rushing there yet while there's a chance that something could happen with AMOC.

I thought it had all gone tits up. I was planning an outing or two in Intermarque in the IROC-Z mildly modified class but all looks doubtful now.

For those that don't know, or haven't received entries, AMOC are running a 1hr (1 or 2 driver) "Enduro GT" race at Snetterton on April 5th. The rules are pretty well SuperGT, but for any closed wheel sports or GT car. Pitstop is a 2min "rest", between 10min and 40min of the race were the driver may have a bath, shave, and haircut.

Contact comps@amoc.org for more info.

Time for a bump!!

Sadly it's looking like I won't be there at Snetterton. Proper paid work and an injury has kept me away from working on the car, so unless there is a miracle, Harry won't be ready to play.

Anyone else looking to do the Enduro GT 1Hr race?

Damn damn damn damn damn!

Hope it gets off the ground, even if it takes a little while to get going. Was nosing around in unrelated things and discovered this http://www.nsxprime.com/forums/showthread.php?s=ae... which I thought might make an interesting car for Super GT....
