Hi All

i'm looking at putting a kit car together for next years 750MC RGB championship.

Can some one advise me is a single roll bar with a brace to the passenger footwell sufficient for MSA regs?

not in the slightest, dont know their regs but at the very minimum you will need something like this but you are a brave man to go racing with just that if they allow it. strut bracing to rear and diagonal from drivers head side

but most likely something like this, all encompassing with intrusion bars

Dont think thats a good question to ask on here, surely if you havn't got access to a 'blue book' then 750 scrutineer would be a better person to advise, or a roll cage manufacturer.

Picture the scene at you first meeting.
Scrute: "What the bloody hell is that ?"
You: "This guy on Pistonheads told me it would be ok"

IIRC if the engine is under 2ltrs you can get away with just a rear hoop, unless series regs amend this...

IMHO you'd be mad to race something like that without a full cage with side bars..

utterly mad, why is a bonkers 1.8 k series r500 less dangerous than a 2.3 duratec car?

now your tying to apply /your/ logic to the regs...

<2,000CC engine, 4 point is OK, >2,000 6 point.

to be honest, i would be pretty scary in either but the regs should not allow for that kind of thing. you either need a six point or you dont...
