That is good value, but 4 *15 min races is a different animal to a 1 hour race :-)
I think everyone here understands there is no cheap motorsport, but there can be cost effective racing

In 2009 all of CSCC's own series are 30 min practice and 40 min races for one or two drivers. There is also often the chance of a practice & second sprint race for which all sports & saloon type cars are eligible) of 15-20 mins at the end of the day, making about 100 mins track time in total in the day for between £340 & £380, I think (depending on the circuit).I think everyone here understands there is no cheap motorsport, but there can be cost effective racing

Sorry Andy97 I forgot about the two sprint races which are run at the end of each race day at a highly discounted entry fee for those who hae entered a race during a CSCC race weekend! The motor clubs that run long distance races for two drivers, tend to promote their race championships very vigorously in the motor sport national press and also may buy tv time, all of which cost money which the competitor has to pay. It is extremly difficult in starting any race series and for the series to become a championship. The cost of buying a grid at a race meeting will depend on the length of you race and the race venue. The race series / championship has to be promoted. Britcar entry fee's are high but look at the circuits they run on, the promtion it gets and the tv coverage it gets. Look at which motor club runs the series. Even the JCC's Centuriun race series which were a 1 hour race were expensive. I have thought about it, but to expersive for me. I WILL STAY WITH A DAM GOOD COPROMISE. Good luck in finding cheaper 1 hour two driver races!
