Sprinting's nothing like as hard on the car as track days. Loads of people drive to (and usually from) events.
That's my plan. If I still had a TVR I'd be sprinting that -- TVRs are pretty competitive in their class I believe.

TVRs are frequently found in a class of their own... It depends which club youre in of course; but thats certainly so in the Midlands.

Will we see you in the TVRCC Speed Championship, then? smile
If I still have a TVR without a doubt, yes. Probably only the localish ones though as I can't really afford a trip up to Knockhill or anything!

I've reality, I fell in love with the TVR as a road car and given the money I would always have at least one tiv in the garage, but I'm not sure I could afford to use one as a track car. We shall see...

That's my point: Even if the sprints didn't run it into the ground then track days at the rate of one a month would rapidly start to take its toll! smile

I can't deny I'm tempted to keep the TVR and just take the hit on using it for track stuff. It's my own stupid fault - I took it out for a drive last night and realistically my plans to replace it with a nice cheap, expendable track day car were always going to take a bit of a battering if I did that!
