A couple of big accidents today, in the Formula Ford race, both drivers seemed to be okay, just hope they are. Suddenly it just all seemed to "kick off".. Into the first corner (first lap of the race) they were 3 cars down and then a big one on the exit of Gerrards.. Red flagged. Then as the lead cars were slowing down past the start finish straight, one car was unsighted, clipped the rear of another, who was slowing for the red flags and then the unsighted car went end over end over end... The driver got out and walked/limped away.. but was later taken away on a back board, hopefully more as a precaution than anything else.

Well done to the Marshalls and medical staff for sorting everything out and getting to the incidents quickly.

Amanda Whitaker was the "end over end" driver.
She has just been released from Leicester Royal, nothing broken. I'm going to ask her to choose my lottery numbers.

I'm glad Amanda is okay, her's and Westie Mitchell's cars looked to more than a little secondhand esecially as he had to be removed from the car by the equipent on the rescue unit. I hope he too is okay. It would have been very interesting to see how he got on agaist Simon Hadfield.

I'm rather pleased I decided not to do this race, would have been my first this year! Now lookingat Brands and Silverstone, Oulton is too expensive!
