Big thumbup to the MSA. Postal renewal sent last night. Email recieved today saying my licence has gone to be printed. S/be with me in 6 days.

Very quick turnaround. They seem to have sorted themselves out after the renewals fiasco a few years ago.

Does that mean your Licence is valid from jan 2010 till dec 2010?

Only ask as I have been waiting to send my form off and have been told to wait till mid/end december.

Did the online application last night. Had an email waiting for me this morning saying it was off to the printers.

Great service!

If you pay for the express service there is a chance you could receive your licence BEFORE you apply wink

Did mine by post as I got to the end of the on line bit and it told me to send the form. Don’t know why as it is exactly the same as last year. Still found the service very good however. Got a message to say they had the form, got a message to say the form was ok, then got a message to say they had sent it.

As said, rather better than a couple of years ago.

Still have to go to see the quack to have my bumps felt. That can wait for a week or three, maybe six.

Same!

Why they insist on keeping the upgrade card the A5 size, whilst the wallet is now credit card sized I've no idea. Why do we even need upgrade cards - surely just tick a box on a PC!!! Not that I collect signatures anymore, but still...

once again I come across this Tristan Cliffe character -
- I think he must be trying to establish celeb status(unlike me "the real stig" lol).

How he finds time to post on all these sites amazes me. Perhaps Tristan you should get into politics.- I did see you at silverstone earlier this year weather was a bit grim - but mono looked interesting.

I have just renewed my license and after running a small business - I am amazed how efficiant the msa are (shame every one I have to deal with could not be the same)
-Confirming receipt and e-mailing the printing and despatch date.

Must be the economic down turn - maybe the msa are over staffed for all the drivers of next year?

Ah, well, here we go; the usual annual fighting with the utterly ste, broken, useless fecking piece of cack MSA web site to renew my race license. First it says my password is wrong (no it isn't), then I change it and it says I need to log back in, even though it says I'm already logged in, then I have to repeatedly start from the beginning, and after about 20 minutes of frustration I find myself at the first of the details pages and it won't accept any input from the keyboard. "All questions and fields are mandatory on this page." I'm sure they are, but since it won't let me type anything on the page, who gives a stuff? And after all, they only have my address wrong, so what difference does that make?

Why are MSA wasting my money on web designers with all the talent of a dried dog turd? And this sort of thing happens every year. I wrote them a snotty email last year or the year before and just got some patronising (and incorrect) guff back from their "IT Consultants".

And yes, I am angry. This stuff isn't hard. How about the MSA finding someone who actually knows what they're doing?

And now I get "we have detected an error with your application". No, mate. I've detected an error with your application. It's a piece of wk. Developed by wkers, for wkers, with my money.

So, we try again with a different browser & OS, and it's the same. So, we ignore the fact that they have my home address wrong and press on regardless. Now, the UK is out of alphabetical order. Look, moron, if you're going to do that, put it at the top.

Oh, look. I don't know who that is in the photo you say you have for me, but it sure as st isn't me. So, what have you dickwads done with the photo I uploaded previously?

So I upload a new photo of me, hit "Proceed" and this happens;

Server Error in '/' Application.

My you are upset easily aren't you!

Just opened the latest "Motorsports NOW!" mag, and it states that International Licence renewals UNDER 45 have to do a 12-lead ECG at rest. Eh? It used to be over-40, under-45, then it was dropped, now it's back, but do they mean EVERYONE renewing a Intl needs an ECG, whether they be 18 or 44?

Nobody seems to have the clear answer, and this new magazine item has muddied the waters further.

Sent form to them on 14th (by Royal Mail Special Delivery), had email confirming sent for printing on 15th December and arrived today 20th (yes post on a Sunday!), so in my case they were good to their word.

Agree with Zumbruck.... a huge amount of problems with their site.

Wrong picture, errors then finally can't process so send in application.
Filling out the form by hand was significanlty quicker by the way. lol.
