Ultima Launches New Evolution Model

The supercharger used is a Whipple off road supercharger for the LSx platform. It houses a decent sized chargecooler beneath the blower as per other top mounted superchargers.
The twin charge cooler system that the Factory refer to are the heat exchangers (or low temp radiators) that are mounted in the front clam. These cool the water after its passed through the chargecooler mounted under the blower.
You can actually see them (kind off) in one of the pics of the front clam and wheel. See this picture in the top right corner you can just see the low temp radiator.

If you are thinking about your ProCharged car, 417 motorsports in the US have a charge cooler that sandwiches between the lid and base of the Holley Hi Ram intake manifold. They are also rumoured to be developing a version that will be the same height as the Holley intake but will incorporate the charge cooler also. LPE also have an intercooled intake available.
That 417MS jobbie looks good but the Holley manifold doesn't seem to accommodate fuel injectors and I'm dammed if I'll go back to a carb or have I got that wrong? The twin charge cooler system that the Factory refer to are the heat exchangers (or low temp radiators) that are mounted in the front clam. It defiantly can take injectors. I think it comes with bungs for injectors to be mounted but might require the holes drilling out. Not sure to be honest. Have a google and see what you come up with. Ls1 tech has a few people running the Holley as dose yellowbullet. Have a look and see what they say. Don't forget you will be adding a good old chunk of weight to the car with an air to water setup. You are going to need twin the coolers (chargecooler and then low temp rads) plus the water and piping. Is there no way of keep / maximising the air to air setup you have? Maybe a bigger core or a different location?
I thought the same at first, but then looked in more detail, and think the word obsolete sounded harsh, but to be honest although I am following the Evolution build route I would not have been disappointed if I had finished my car a year back and it be labelled a GTR.

It's a pity the factory describe the GTR and Can Am as "obsolete". Looking at the pictures, the Evolution appears to be a GTR with new style wheels and a tarted up interior. OK, it's more than that, but I don't think the GTR and Can Am deserve to be called obsolete.
I don't care if mine is not an evolution model, it remains an Ultima and I'm very proud to be an owner of such a great vehicle!
Wondering if Chris Harris could be convinced of driving an Evolution (not necessarily with smoky power slides...) and doing a write up. That would be great publicity IMO.

Glad the factory are moving the marque on a notch.... And I have a man maths excuse to upgrade!Wondering if Chris Harris could be convinced of driving an Evolution (not necessarily with smoky power slides...) and doing a write up. That would be great publicity IMO.
I too would be pleased if the UK mainstream motoring press would do some in depth articles. I know it's a SVAed kit car, but so is the ariel atom and radical - it's just exclusively built by the ariel factory. The ariel atom 500 got a lot of press, so I hope the ultima evo will to
Ted/Richard please go for the ring record - I'd like to see some (more) British beef show why we are good at very very fast motorcars. Radical and McLaren are (reportedly) under 7mins - why not a ultima 1020?

You need to go to the Stoneleigh Kit Car Show on the 4th May and the factory ASAP.
Thanks, racingroj! I'll look that up. You need to go to the Stoneleigh Kit Car Show on the 4th May and the factory ASAP.
I think I've got it - yes I think there may be a few Ultima GTRs for sale.

I have only owned my GTR for a few months and am just getting used to the usual comments along the lines of, "Wow.. that is Awesome.... what is it?" so agree that a good dollop of publicity and raising the profile of the brand would be good. J-P said:

Great, so how long does it take to build (roughly)? And are there good instructions with it? dependent on time and money really.
mine had a 2 year target and took 4, because i hadn't bargained for cold winters in an unheated garage.
Also dependent on any of yr own mods that you may want. it all adds up.
The manual is pretty good and the bits that aren't quite so good are backed up by some very good build diaries online. in fact work with both manual and diaries for a much clearer picture.
