Hello to everyone, I'm new in this forum. I just purchased a Ultima can am RHD, but I live in Spain, and I need to change the orientation of the headlight light and put a reversing light (law obliges).

My questions are:

1. Can the light beam be "oriented"? If so, how?
2. In case you can not change it, what can I do?
3. The spanish law requiered me to have a reversing light, which does not carry the car. What solutions do you usually put?

Thank you!!!

A greeting.

Gisleno.

Very simple.
Remove the cover from inside the front clip.
On the back of the headlight unit (from memory) there are 2 screws. loosen them and twist the whole unit by about 30 degrees and re-tighten the screws.
Repeat on the other side.

Enjoy.

Welcome

Give the Factory a call. They are always happy to help and it is worth remembering that the car is available in Europe/US so they will know what needs doing to be legal.

If you have LED rear lights you can use an independent supply via ignition to the reverse switch on gear box, you will need to take one earth lead out of the chassis to clam plug and socket, you double this up to the other earth lead going through the plug/socket,
You now have a free pin on the plug/socket to use for your reverse switch feed to the light.

This is only an option for LED type lights, the earth leads must remain as two on standard tungsten lights due to current,

Thank you very much for the help.

I do not have rear led lights unfortunately. Does anyone with normal lights with reversing lights?

There was/is an exemption for this in UK for these types of car if not fitted not required however if fitted must work.,

I don't think there was a reverse light option in the original light units so your best bet will be to change all the rear lights to LED.

Speak to the Factory they will advise the best option.

Does your regulation say what the reverse light has to be?
White is obvious but how bright? An LED may be all that is required fitted in the grill.

I would like to know how you get on with the spainish authorities in registering the car...I'm going to try to do the same.
