G50 Gearbox Oil Level?

What's the proper amount of lubricant for the G50. I have a five speed with limited slip.

The build manual says 3.5 litres, and that is what I have had in mine for three thousand trouble free miles (3.5 litres is 3.7 US quarts)

The box was just built for me and appears to be totally dry inside. Since it will be sitting for a while while we assemble the car, I'm going to put oil in it to keep the rust out.
