Back on Track in 2017 with my GTR

Hi Guys, it's been a while since I've posted anything, so it's about time to give you all an update on my activities for this year...
Finally got back out on track, competing in 3 Sprints and also entering a track day, all at glorious Goodwood. The Sprints were a part of the Tunbridge Wells MC All Circuit Sprint Championship http://twmc.org.uk/all-circuit-championship-result...
As I'm sure you all know, a Sprint is normally a timed single lap from a standing start. Though I had no intention of competing in all of the rounds, I really enjoyed competing again and against some serious competition. It's also a bit of family fun as two of my cousins, affectionately known as the 'Caterham Boys' also compete and we're all in the same Championship Class... and before you ask... yes, I did beat them!
However, depending on the organizing Club, you may end up in a different Class on the day and in my case on both Brighton & Hove MC events, I was put in with the Modified Series Production Cars & Modified Specialist Cars C6 – Over 2000cc which included Race spec cars running on slicks! But at least on the TWMC & 7Oaks event, I was in Road Going Kit Type and Replica Cars 8. Over 1700cc including motor cycle engine vehicles, list 1A or 1B tyres as my GTR is course of road legal.
Here is a summary of my results and best times;
22 April - BHMC Bailey Sprint: 4th in Class with a best time of 91.88s - broke the O/S drive shaft on my last run!
05 August - BHMC Eagle Sprint: 1st in Class with a best time of 91.44s - the first timed run was damp after a massive downpour!
26 September - TWMC & 7Oaks Sprint: 1st in Class with a best time of 91.36s - despite a big scary sideways moment in St Mary's!
And to round off the season I also entered the Octane Magazine Track Day also at Goodwood on 05 October which was a really nice fun day out with a variety of machinery and many like minded enthusiasts.
