I just wondered what options everyone would like from the factory - that may not officially exist ?

How about the alluminium rad I spied on the red GTR demostrator ?

Yokohama 18" 032 for track days ?

6 speed sequential G50 (Gemini enginnering ) and make that semi automatic please ? - No problem sir !!

Factory fitted laser diffuser for those tough moments sir ??

Air suspension from Lotus to raise you over those nasty speed bumps ??

Carbon disk from AP racing - no problem !!

Spare V10 from BMW Motorsport - 850 BHP - For Stig

Your input welcome

I quite fancy a decent gearbox. That seems to be the Achilles heel of the car. Well, not so much the gearbox, but that huge bloody linkage. I've been toying with the idea of designing an electrically operated gear shift mechanism. It's just a question of finding the time (which I have very little of spare at the moment).

That's the beauty of an Ultima - there is no end to the options!

If you can afford it and it can be fitted, then what's to stop you?

Now, back to freeads to find a solid fuel rocket

Never had a problem with the gearchange mechanism, but I would like a guide of where to track down common rattles. I have fixed every loose thing I can, put rubber between body panels that almost touch and I still have a few. There is one particularly annoying one in the full roll cage just above the passenger, sounds like a loose bolt.

Agree with ALU rad option. Would also like to see alcantara door trims, that have been fitted to one can-am.

Some attractive switch gear / warning lights would also be nice. I intend to ditch the standard fit when I find something more suitable.

We need the factory to invest in a CNC mill, so they can make crazy switch gear like those boys at TVR

Factory fitted traction control dropped of the price list last year, if the factory could get a deal on it I would be interested.

I'd also like to see an improvement to the fixing of the front bodywork. To my mind the fixings are too far inboard, causing a large amount of flex over the bumps.

That'll do for now!

Oh, and a switch to flip the water temp gauge to an oil temp gauge ( like the latest sevens have)

Must admit I have been having the same thoughts! what about sequential mechanism, must be possible even if its technically difficult?

Why not just fit an oil temp gauge?

Alternatively, you could easily do the switch thing yourself, by just putting in an oil temp sender and putting the feeds from it and the water temp sender through a 2 way switch.

The sequential shifter/H pattern thing is just a case of changing the selector mechanism. I don't think it works on a synchro box, so you'd have to rebuild the gearbox with simple dog engagement as well.
