In my opinion, the complete closure of this yellow space will be a serious mistake. Hot air will not have a good drain from the space behind the fans. Maybe the temperature in the cabin will be lower, but the hot air pushed by the fans will cause turbulence disturbing the even air flow. The cooler may not be as efficient as it needs. My fellow engineers have proposed to create two ventilation openings in the front cover of the mask. It guarantees that it works. The hot air will be leaving the zone in a yellow fashion. I am sending a photo.

the factory has externally moved the fans and I also saw that on the EVO there are internal holes in the side vent on this front air intake smile

Are you saying, this area in yellow should be closed off, to reduce cabin heat?

I have panelled that area on mine with no issues and it does lower the temperature of the footwell.

I do have front wing arch vents to help remove air from that area though.

These holes are not in the air flow line. But it probably does the factory so they know what is ok. It's an interesting and simple solution. The most important thing is that I work. I always listen to what Richard says because who has to know best what is good and what is bad.

i don't know but I believe that it takes away pressure and therefore heat or maybe it brings air to the side of the brakes or in any case distributes more evenly the pressure on the ant. for stability

You can re-contour the outlet to match the back of the radiator. It takes some work and when you are done you will need to paint the outlet behind the radiator flat black. When you are finished all of the air taken in through the radiator goes out the vent. We did it on my old GTR and will do it on the new one.
