O.K. This is where I admit that I had something wrong. I assumed that with the Stance system that the cup would collapse to something like a 1/2 inch I was wrong. The Stance system has the same draw back as the hyd. system it remains at two inches tall when not extended. This means that either system will require new shorter springs. At this point my inclination is to go with the much more expensive Ram Pro Lift system because fitting a tank with enough volume is going to be a bh, the pump on the hyd. system is very high quality actually intended for the marine environment. Still have not committed and I am always willing to listen to other ideas. As I go towards the finish on my second GTR I consider this to be a real QUALITY OF EXPERINCE ISSUE. I enjoyed my first GTR every time I got it out, but I must admit there where times I really got concerned about scrapping the nose or I knew there was an issue where I was headed and took something else to avoid the problem when I really wanted to drive the GTR. Thoughts? Lee

As far as I understand the stance system the cups sit over the springs and require 20mm of extra space. When you lift the car the piston inside extends 50mm , so your only looking for 20mm extra on the shock for the spring and cup. I admit the tank is a problem But a larger capacity pump without a tank may be the solution

As Tim Says the spring sits up inside the cup. I thought, from when I looked at it, the compressed length was only 1/2" which could easily be dealt with in the screw adjust lower spring seat.

Well I was wrong again, seems to be a habit on this subject. The height of the system collapsed is .787 inches or 22 mm. so that should not be a difficult issue. What may be an issue is the Stance System requires A INSIDE DIAMETER OF THE SPRING OF 61MM OR 2.4 inches. I do not have access to my car today and leave on travel tomorrow for a bit. does anyone know if the inside diameter of the spring is larger than 61mm? Lee

Stance cups with this:

3 gallon version self contained compressor and solenoids, nicest Pneumatic kit I've seen so far.

I'm dialogue with Accuair at the moment as I only want simple up down at front with a push of a button using stance type cups.
They have a lot of automatic ride height kit aimed at air bags I think.

Looks really good kit and love the pump mounting inside the tank, still to large for my needs but the pump looks very interesting. I wonder if the roll bar is sealed and could be used as an air reservoir. Keep us posted

I think unless its a new build and you bury the tank in the side pods somewhere, the size of that tank will be problematic. The concept of the pump inside the tank is interesting. I also thought about some part of the frame as a reservoir but you would be introducing a huge amount of water into your frame. On a new build I think a 2 or 3 inch tube down the length of the car in the side pod and below the baggage pods would work well. lee

Looks like a 100mm x400mm tune will fit with the compressor underneath, I have a Stance dealer close to me so I think a visit next week is on the cards

I really think a factory lift kit will be a value added to the car. Can you give any details about the kit yet? Air vs Hydraulic ect. If I have not finished my new GTR by your availability date sign me up, but it will be close. Lee

We have a front end lift kit option currently in development at the factory that will be released in early 2019.

Regards to all,
Is it something that can be fitted after the car has been built?

Just to put in my twopenny worth (sorry, a bit late) but I have fitted (post build) the RamliftPro and it is a quality piece of kit. Yes, you do need to buy shorter springs which are a pain to compress and fit the Ram cylinder but it works a dream. Plus their after sales service is ace. One of the cylinders had a tiny leak from the seals so not only did they send me a seal kit but they also Express sent a replacement cylinder. (Having said all that, a factory option sounds favourite). One very definite plus about the lift is that you can open the front clam fully with a splitter! with just a slight shortening of the hinge required to lock and hold.

Had not thought about opening the front but score another point for using a lift kit on the front. Thanks for the insight. Lee

I decided to go with the ram pro lift. I would have waited for the factory but im ready to button up the wiring now. Took delivery on the unit today. First good news is that on a left hand drive car, the pump will fit to the right of the battery on the bottom shelf and the ports and adjusting screws will be in a serviceable position. More to follow. Lee

some more input: The Ram Pro lift will need to be modified the inside of the piece that rides on the spring does not fit by a very small amount. You could turn it on a lathe and be done in 5 minutes. My option is I am going to build a complete replacement piece for this collar and incorporate both the collar for the lift kit and the collar that captures the top of the shock in one piece. A little more work but it will be an elegant solution.
In my car the reservoir for the brakes is already installed . This makes finding room for the lift kit master a bit of a pain but doable. A better answer on a new build would be to shift the brake master reservoir over a bit and leave room for the lift kit reservoir. Pictures to follow. Lee

After looking at the factory lift kit I have decided to go with it, picked it up last week and started to fit it. First problem is it wont fit where the Factory recommends under the steering rack and in front of the battery as I have fitted a larger battery, It will go in front of the master cylinders with mm to spare. I'm going to make a remote oil reservoir/filler as it looks to be a right pain trying to top the oil up once installed, 1/4 BSP thread on the pump. I'm also going to make an enclosure for the control box as it has no means of securing itself and I don't fancy the double sided sticky tape option. Then at last I can finish up the wiring, set up the dash, give the engine another quick tune on idle to get it stable, check temperature before and after the charge coolers to make sure the systems working and then pull the engine and get on with the body (must choose a colour and order that).
