At the first hello every body, im new here. im from spain (so sorry for my english). i am thinking in buy a ultima evo car, i think that is a great sport car, i am a owner of a lotus evora 430 and i am very happy, but i am looking for the next level, may be a ultima....
here in spain is very difficult to know some one that have one, i think only 6 ultimas in spain. i have been checking a lots of videos of ultimas, and i see that is a car that can make some problems, i know that is ¨home made¨car, is very especial and is for track, i really don't love the tracks too much, i love the mountains and take the car for meetings with others sports cars, and all the years we meet 40 sports cars and go around europe, this year we will go to estanbul. you think that the ultima is good for this?, i know that is strange question, but i mean, make one trip in summer (very hot) more than 3.000 km and mountains roads etc....
What about 700cv or 1.000cv with no track controls?? im really little bit scary for that, i am not a profesional driver...
I need to decide if i buy or not quickly, because the Brexit is coming and if i need to pay tax, duty and customs, is going to be hard for the up price.
Can some one explain me his experience with the car? how many km? whats problems? if use only for track?

If you want a raw experience that has few comforts (air conditioning is a must!) then an LS powered car will fit the bill.
The biggest problem I have is fuel economy! having said that 25 mpg on motorway is achievable.
You really don't need lots of power to go faster than most in one of these cars.
I de-tuned mine to 550bhp at the tyre contact patch and feel it is now at the optimum for road use.
long journeys are possible but you have limited luggage space and I would advise planning your route carefully for refuelling stops.
other than that you will be fine.

Have a look in classified ads on here. There’s a great LS powered, fully sorted 2015 car for sale.

I wouldn’t be getting worried about taxes / tariffs on used/second hand items.

Also If the remainers are to be believed the £ will decrease notably so even if you did have to pay tariffs you’ll have saved a lot more than those on the exchange rate decrease of the car.

I recently sold my LS7 Ultima, but I took it on a 2,000 mile trip from the UK to Spain to drive around the Pyrenees with friends. It coped with it really well, but it's really too fast to actually have fun driving on normal roads. I made a video of the trip here (it's very long! ) - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u7fwu17IbR4

Hi ol, I saw the video time ago, and I saw that first the air con stop, later the car go too hot and need to stop, and some problems with the fuel too. Yesterday I meet a última gtr in real, was the car of friend of friend (1.030hp) 😳😳, when he run with him make 90l/100km = 2,5 mpg, the car with no controls, he tell me that he can not run because is too much, and the noise....uffffff 😰 all the neighbors wants to kill him! 😂😂. In conclusion, that car, is too much too much for me, may be the 550hp/600hp can use less fuel, and you can enjoy more, but I think that this car is for track, and now you tell me that is too fast for get enjoy..., I like to joint others cars, make trips, go mountains...like in your video.
Other thing that he told me is how dificoult is to get the registration number if you want to build it, in uk, is different than in Spain, in Spain you need to make and spend a lot of thinks for that.
So the best I think is buy one of second hand....
I would like to see in real one gtr with less hp than my friend, I think 550hb is enoght, cus the 1.030cv is imposible to ride!! 😬
From yesterday I forget a little bit to have a ultima, but I don’t want to discard the option 100%, I will check more, and see if this car is for me or not.

Thank a lot to every body that replay my topic, I will read more, checking more and we will see what happens wink
