A few interesting video clips. Anyone considering a rotary engine should turn up the sound for these.

Does anyone know how these may be saved onto ones PC for use at any time?

Standard windows trick of right clicking on the link offers you the chance to save on local disk. Not sure of copyright on these though. I've not seen them on the UK site. Seems a shame as potential customers will probably not find them.

Also, I don't think rotary is really what an Ultima needs, they are great designs but to be truely effective they need twin turbos... like rx7. Before I die, I will build a car with a all aluminum v12 and two seperate banks of sequential twin turbo's.... Yummy! Maybe I can throw down the 200K for that after I win the lotto

Right click on the image with the video and select "Save target as" as opposed to "Save picture as". Don't open it with realplayer first.

Regarding copyright, it's made clear in the statement at the top of the page on the Ultima site.

"A bit too much understeer for my liking" Tiff

So much for understeer. This is a long overdue addition to the web site. Even more effective with video in car or in racing traffic.

Thanks for the films Ultima Sports!

Not sure why you’d want to resurrect a 16 year old post with something like that, but each to their own

That was me... Here's the story - my Rage Rover engine died on Friday. I needed to drive from where I live in Northumberland, to Luton to work for 2 weeks with racing at Brands in the middle. (I race in 750MC Locost championship). I decided on the Saturday to take the Ultima to Luton to give it a long run, but the front tyres were bald (I have new Evo wheels on the way, and will be fitting new tyres all around when these arrive). I phoned every tyre supplier around the North East, and the only fronts I could get in the right size were budget 'Mohawk' £50 per tyre. I figured they would be fine for just cruising down the motorway and back, then remove them when the new wheels arrive, as I had to leave Sunday.
On Friday I had a test day booked at Brands ahead of racing Saturday. I arrived in the ultima, and unbelievably it passed noise test and they let me use one of my test sessions for the Ultima. I took it out after hammering my locost around all morning at 10/10ths, so brain was in race mode. I took it easy for a few laps, as I was getting SO much understeer, but then I pushed it a bit too quick, and hot grippy Kumo's on the rear, and budget Mohawks on the front ended in a meeting with the barrier.

I got away lightly and it's just a little fibreglass repair. Not harm done. Cant wait to get some proper tyres on and get it out again. In the mean time, I'm still using it on the road as I'm still away working and it's my only mode of transport.
Story done.

Awesome glad not to much damage done! Glad you uses and abuse it! I used to have a lotus 7 replica as only car for 3 years, thus included lift share, fun in the wet and snow!
