Well look at these boys....

You may be King of the Strip this year Stig but Next year will be Mine.....

Whatever floats your boat mate. However, to my mind, any idiot can floor it in a straight line. I built mine to go 'around' a track - not straight down it

If you'd care to pick a venue, I'd be happy to see how the two compare

I just want to inform that any "idiot" can go around a track to. The question is how good the laptimes is...
As a matter of fact , it is not as simple as it might seem to be (to go strait away on a drag strip).

I don't know if you actually have been to a drag stip?
It takes alot of runns to run nice ET's. It's not just to take a "fast" car and think that you kan run a 10 sec time the first run...

Sorry Kristan - it appears that English sarcasm doesn't translate too well.

It was a tongue-in-cheek reply, but then, I don't suppose that translates too well either!

Could we keep this thread on topic please, or I'll have to close it.

Damn, James you've got me that realy Hurt. Bo Ho.
Sorry James we are only Taking the Pi**. It's a common past time of many Like minded people, I think Stigs Engine looks Lovly, and have posted to say the same, even emailed the chap to tell him. So as Long as Stig understands that It's all in the name of a little Hummor, then we will continue.
If Stig wants it to stop then all he has to do is Email Me and I Will.

But it's only a Little Fun. Roll on the Summer so I can take the pi** In person.

Chill! You can be a bit too defensive sometimes Stig. A bit of controversy makes for more interesting reading.

Actually, it's 'hear, hear'

The banter doesn't bother me in the slightest. I only suggested closing the thread as it's gone way off topic.

We're all happy chappies really.

Next update will probably be on Monday. I've already fabricated the bulkhead cover, I'm just waiting for an offcut of carpet from the factory to fit it. A bit of tidying up to do with various wires in the engine bay (need to extend the power feed to the fuel pumps), then it's on with the transaxle and refit the engine. After that, well, once the exhausts are on it's time to fire her up!

Hate go talk about the ACTUAL topic stated, but STIG I have a suggestion about your website. Where you have listed the time scales it has taken you to fit each item would it be possible to make these hyperlinks to the actual artical. For current builders like myself this would be a quick reference point for each part of your install.
Just a thought.

Cheers

John

Ps didnt mean to upset, arse lick or insult any one in the writing of this suggestion.

Good idea that John. Will try and code it today.

Hopefully no-one was offended by this reply, if so, I fully retract any comments I made

Hey Stig!

Thanks for putting up the pic for me :-) Have you a guess about how many build hours you have until you're road ready? I'm just curious as to where you think you'll finish up in hours? Interesting reading.....this thread!

Site updated so that the timetable links to the relevant section!

Brad - aim to finish in well under 300 hours. Current total is about 240. Still, we'll see
