I absolutely love this car!! I have a favor and request. Is there anyone on the east coast currently building a GTR? I live in Central Pennsylvania, very short drive time to NY,DC, Philly and of course Baltimore. I would very much like to see one of these cars in the flesh. I saw a Can-Am at the Carlisle auto show in May but didn't have time to get a good look. CJ's site has been very helpful in convincing myself that I could build this car. I would very much like to see a GTR in the flesh before I take the next step and order a kit. Any help?

I actually drove down from Toronto, Canada to Carlisle, P.A. just to see the Can-Am. One thing I would recommend is that you sit in the car. I found out that for me I will need a lowered floor pan. The car is also a tight fit. Also viewing these pictures do not do the car justice, it looks better in the flesh.

I have a GTR in Chicago not quite complete yet. So does Brad. There's a Sports in Wisconsin. Don't know of any in the east. I think theres a guy in Toronto that Paul S knows.

Thanks for the replies. Mark I will be sending you an e-mail. Joselit, did you really drive from Toronto to Carlisle just to see a Can-Am? That has to be at least a 7-8 hour drive, one way! The attraction to these cars is truly impressive.

Yes and I dragged my wife along. She did not think the car looked good from the pictures I had showed her. I felt that the pictures did not do the car justice so the only way to convice her was to force her to see it. I am glad I took her as she did like the car and its performance. My wife is the type of woman that complains about speed limiters on cars. So now she does not mind that I get the car.
