Noted pauls note re anti roll bars on the "evo" car.. Are they standard on the "new" cars, or an option? Is it a retrofit? and is it worth it? Also... Intrax damper settings. Anyone done any testing? IE how many clicks for road vs track front and back?

S-H-F .... I'm pretty sure anti-roll bars are not standard but can be retro fitted. Not sure if any chassis mods are required though.

From what I have been told roll bars are only of use on track/race cars. I have Intrax settings from the factory. They are as follows

Damper settings- start at 20 clicks clockwise from full anti clockwise front and 30 rear.
Then try 10 clicks extra on each end to see which you prefer.

Asked the boys at the factory about them and was told that they would be to harsh for the road, ie. connect them at the track and unbolt them for the road. I'm not that serious about getting more out of the car on the track yet, car's easly faster than I am at present... Maybe later.

There are some fixing brackets welded on the the chassis and control (A) arms. They can be retrofitted but require some welding. Also very expensive as I recall. I'm gonna try mine without.

After a blast with Ted in the new red demonstrator at Donington 2002, Ultima boys told me that the anti-rollbars were a prototype. I really don´t know what are they going to do at last but in my modest opinion may be only interesting for dry track use.
Cheers

In theory if you fit anti-rollbars you can get a better ride quality if you want. Fitting bars with the standard springs will give a harsher ride. However, you should be able to get away with softer springs if you have bars fitted. They are also useful for altering understeer/oversteer characteristics.
