Any picture of one? Or perhaps a drawing? What do you plan on doing in the rear?

I don't have a picture but have seen one first hand. The one that I saw used a light spring and what looked like fence hinges. The hinges were fixed to the top of the plate and the roof on the Miata's mouth. I didn't wee how well the plate rotated back at speed. If you used a similar arrangement I wouldn't think that any spring would be needed.

At the rear of my car I'm planning on using a wooden or aluminum spacer to tilt the top of the plate rearward over the UK plate mount.
