I don't know if anyone else may have experienced this or you may not be aware your experiencing it.
As an experiment put two paint dots inline, one on the tyre and one on the rim.
On trackdays i've had the rear tyres rotate around half the circumference of the rim and the fronts under braking have moved up to six inches.
The good news is they have never lost pressure.

Do you ever come down south on your track day jounts?
The meeting is probably out of bounds as are track days beyond Silverstone, but what about we all pick a trackday at a central point during the spring /summer/ autumn and get together as many cars as possible?

From experience it certainly seems to be a difference in tire that causes the imbalance because the ex-official factory suppliers wheels (ex because apperently they werent round?!?!?) are utterly superb manufacture quality and only one has needed balancing (with weight) due to a puncture being plugged!
