Stig, I was looking at the pictures that you posted concerning the clearance problems with your air filter. Judging by the dimensions, it looks like you were supplied with a 14 inch diameter air cleaner from amerispeed? You would need to verify dimensions, but you may be able to fit an Edelbrock Pro-Flo 1000 or Weind Freeflow. The two air filters are triangular and designed for low clearance. You could also fabricate a custom air intake system using a K&N custom plenum. I hope this helps.

Thanks. Have spoken to Gail since and have found that I can get a much thinner element for the 14" (well spotted!) filter.

Hopefully this will solve the issue.
