Engine Builders Contest
Discussion
Popular Hot Rodding had an engine building contest recently. The latest March issue has a teardown of the winning combination. The winner made 605 peak Hp. The goal was high average Hp and torque in a streetable small block. 366 ci max, pump gas, hyd roller cam, carburetted, no power adders (nos, Superchargers, etc).
31 engine builders participated,(One we all know, for some reason, failed to qualify). Here's a link to the results:

To get a 605hp peak and be quoted about 420 as an average is a hell of a variance! They must have done runs with it producing about 50hp to do that!!

Interesting reading! On another note I got the jet extensions, but I was quite surprised that I could only fit the 1/2 inch ones, and they had to be trimmed by 1/8 inch otherwise they foul the float and jam the inlet valve open. Is 1/2 inch normal fitment for a 750D/P?
Sorry Mate forgot to say they do modified floats to suit the Jet Extensions.
