Well, drivetrain completed today and for the first time, I drove the car!
Didn't actually move because the rear was on axle stands but now have a 'driveable' GTR!
Few bits and pieces before SVA but it's getting very close now. Update should appear Monday (with more vids).
Had some problems with throttle cable return (ie - none!) so found out what the engine sounds like at full song. The hairs on the back of my neck are still stood up!!

Stig. You definitely don't want a throttle pedal that won't return, especially with 600+ hp under your right foot. I fitted a strong return spring on the pedal itself (which seems to be the most effective place to put it), as well as two weaker ones at the carb end. The overall spring pressure is quite moderate and the pedal is very smooth and progressive. Most importantly, the pedal always comes back the instant I take my foot off. It's a subject close to my heart as I nearly wrote off my 68 Corvette when the throttle stuck wide open.
Hi stig,
Good feeling isn't it getting close to getting her on the road.
Our throttle was sticking as well initially, this was caused by poor routing of the throttly cable, and a missing bracket holding the throttle cable straight going into the carb. After it was re-rooted it has been fine. Our cable comes from below and behind the engine, but I'm not sure if you have to have a different set-up with a supercharger.
I bet your ears are still ringing from the noise (or should I say music)
