Blown off the road by an Ultima
Discussion
I was on my way to Mallory Park on Sunday to watch some bike racing when I turned into a lovely deserted country road which I know fairly well around 2 miles from the circuit. I was making rapid progress in my Elise and was soon into three figure territory.
Next thing I can remember is the sound of thunder followed by my vehicle vibrating from side to side and a yellow flash overtaking me. Whoooooaaaaarr.
This thing literally blew me off the road!
Once I gathered myself together I realised it was an Ultima Can-Am which rapidly disappeared into the distance. The last I saw of this awesome car was a few seconds later as it was late braking into a tight hairpin bend with 2ft flames being spat out the two huge tailpipes on downshifts and a soundtrack to die for.
This Can-Am was left hand drive on 03 GB plates. Anyone here?
Now I know which car is next on my list!

Ted can drive apparently...
He can more than just drive. He used to race an Ultima. In fact, a lot of the reason that the GTR is as quick as it is comes from the development Ted did with the Mk4 on the race track.
You really can't beat a road car that's been developed by a racing driver. They don't have all those namby pamby drivers aids, and they tend to be bloody quick. Which is nice

If you are impressed by the CanAm performances then you must see this: www.villorbacorse.com/corsa1.mpg
