Does anyone know anything about the Can-Am for sale in the classified section, Gulf Orange with a Knight Racing engine? Any advise would be appreciated, on the car NOT the colour!

Saw it at one of the factory open days, can't remember which one though.
It arrived on a trailer..I think, and was for sale then. The number plate has also been advertised in the past.
Can't tell you anything else.

Looks good in orange though thumbup

Edit: 2005 factory open day. Time flies!

I have it from a very reliable source that this car cost in excess of £100k to build and due to the low millage would say that it is well worth the asking price. In an ideal world I would like to buy this car but I have drawn myself a line and I WILL NOT CROSS IT! ( also, I really am quite fond of being married and having children etc. and have been assured that should I choose this route I will no longer be married or be able to have any more kids yikes, so I will just have to make do with the GTW hehe ).

huge amount of car for the money, I think there is over £20k in the engine alone.

You are in the right ball park Andy: Try adding 60% X VAT and that is bang on the money. The reason that I know so much about this motor is because it was built just before mine and being a nosey sod, I was asking Pete about it every step of the way.

No, afraid a Can-Am doesn't do it for me. Can't be doing with that crappy hood arrangement thing they call a soft-top. And the GTR is just better looking in my book. Just my opinion of course, but I know what I'd rather spend my hard-earned on.

Are we to deduce from this remark that you are the proud new owner?

Really pleased for you and can't wait to see you and the car on the road. Do you have any events in mind or is to early in the day yet?

Far too early to make plans yet, will probably pick the car up in a few weeks, just in time for the summer
Would love to join in with another M40 style convoy, but in a proper car this time, rather than tagging along in my old jollopy.

Oh poo, it's gone, I'd even sold the idea to SWMBO
Saves me taking to the states, maybe I should just get one out there.
