Hi Joop, I'm interested in using a taller air scoop to clear the blower set-up I have in my car, do you have any more pics or dimensions of the scoop, and did you make it yourself or are there moulds somewhere.

No problem, there is also a small part on the rear bonnet.

Will make a picture of that when I am in the workshop.

It comes from V-corse. Mail me for the phonenumber, if you are serious.

Donkeasy.. Is it just me or is that rollcage bare steel? I thought the whole frame was supposed to be powdercoated/painted? Is that cage one you added or did it come like that?

You can ask not to be coated... PS look at his profile... that may give you a clue...

Joop, do you have any pictures taken from the side, of the scoop sitting on the cockpit and with the rear clip down, so that I can see the height clearance, which is the most important aspect for me, thanks.

Thanks Joop, unfortunately it appears that the scoop won't really allow me to raise the height of the ultima-hump to accomodate the aircleaner, so it's back to messing around with fibreglass moulds.

Hello Tim, have you spoken to SSS about scoop options?

Hi Wayne, yep, been asking and enquiring. Tried to fimd the pics of your scoop on here the other night but couldn't, can you remember which title they were under and when. How's the "written scoop" progressing, that you mentioned last time we spoke?

Joop, the blower set-up that I have needs extra height clearance, as at the moment the air cleaner projects through a cut out section of the rear clip. I will try to get some pics sorted but it's not my speciality

I think I understand now.
Allthough the opening/volume of my scoop is a lot 40x10cm.
If you put a filter in, it won't have enough capacity.
But maybe you can stretch the line of the scoop over the back of your car,
so you can make a nice looking part.

To be honest, I did not buy it for the cooler/more/fresher air and little extra power, but mostly for its great looks. Which is not a bad thing

Euhh, I am not a seller of parts. Just like to let you see what I am doing.

Tim, page 14, topic titled GTW and started on 12th of May. Oh yeah, and my inside leg measurement is 31.5", is that enough information for you? hehe
Sorry Donk, did not mean to use this thread as a personal message service.
Seeing as I am here I may as well give my opinion on the scoop subject. I did originally want a scoop similar to the one that you are using Stealth B6 style but it looked like it would be to much hassle to get it to work in proportion and allow the doors to open. The design that we came up with is more of a functioning one as opposed to aesthetic but looking at yours I think that it makes the car look like it is a Mohican, and although I do not have a problem with this, I am more your Sioux type of fella. My rear clip has also been modified to work in conjunction with the scoop and so is not quite an add on modification like yours.
I am looking forward to seeing your car progress and am thinking that the phrase 'Mad dogs and Englishmen' may need to be altered to include the word 'Dutch' wink Keep on truckin thumbup
