We've been approached by a TV production company interested in making a 6 part TV series about the race team. A good bit of publicity, as long as it doesn't all go pear shaped James

Are those Pistonheads stickers you offered to put on suddenly going to cost me more beers now? Edited by PetrolTed on Thursday 11th January 00:31

Amused to see that you'll have some company out there on the race track. This weeks AutoSport has Colin Blower motorsport testing out one of Ultima Works supported cars at Castle Combe in readyness for the Special GT championship :-) Hmmm a works backed car. Obviously someone wants to have a serious attempt at Bob Lights domination....

I'll add the bill to my "freelance Journalist" fee. Usual fee Ted?

According to Rod Barret, who has his Tuscan prepared by Colin, the works backed car is going to be running in the Privilage GT's. A bit more likely for a works team I'd think (hope).

The last 2 Ultima GT projects were some what of an embarasment to the Ultima marque. The first one was an amatuer effort of father and son team hopkins motorsport. This car was destroyed in a heavy crash at Castle Combe. The second one was that of Chas Berger motorsport, things were going OK until the project was taken over by Spedworx, the car barely managed a lap. It was rebuilt by a guy who worked at Swansea Institute called Paul Hughes. I spoke to Ted Marlow, and he wanted a proffesional team to do a better job of the preparation and best of all Colin Blower is in Hinkley.

I'm sure that Colin will do a first class job of preparing the car. After all, he's had enough experience of running just about everything else. It's going to be a couple of years before I get into the Privilege GT's Until then, I guess Colin will have to get by on his own. James
