Sky Anytime Plus over Powerline Adapters. Possible?
Discussion
My Sky HD box is nowhere near my router, so at the moment I dont have Anytime enabled. I was going to look at getting the Sky wireless adapter but it seems a lot of money at £60.
So, first question. Will Anytime Plus work over a couple of Ethernet powerline adapters? I may be able to acquire two for not a lot of money if that will solve my problem.
If that wont work, or I can't get the powerline adapters, is there a cheaper alternative to the Sky adapter? Would a generic USB or Ethernet wireless adapter work?

I use an Open media wifi bridge instead of sky's adapter. Think it was somewhere in the region of £10 on ebay.
One of these?http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Wifi-Bridge-Make-Sky-HD-...
According to their website they don't support mac. http://wifibridge.co.uk. If there isn't a big price difference between this and the home plugs then your probably better off with them, saves you faffing around with setting the bridge up.

i use homeplugs all over my house.. only mobiles/laptops are used on WiFi.
They really work excellently for everything with a network port inc sky anytime+,
even in my 1920s house the wiring still allows for c160-180mbps throughput (80% quality).. which is more than enough for streaming HD content around all the place.
I get brilliant ping rates as well with the xbox/ps3/pc for gaming with homeplugs v's wireless (10-15ms v 35-40ms).
I use these ones where only 1 connection is needed (inc router end) : http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B004INVKP4
and have a couple of these where multiple network connections are needed : http://www.amazon.co.uk/Livewire-Powerline-Network...
They all work together flawlessly.

Along the same topic. Will this scenario work?
My router is connected to Powerline in hallway (main phone socket)
SKY HD box WILL BE connected to Powerline in the Living Room
Popcorn Hour Media player is connected to Powerline in Living Room (and streams from NAS in basement)
Projector/AMP/NAS is connected to Powerline in basement.
How do I play SKY on my projector, will just plugging the Powerline straight into the AMP work or do I need to add some sort of media player to receive the SKY signal ?
Hope that makes sense.

The HD box won't output anything via the Ethernet port. If you want Sky pictures on your projector then you'll need to run a HDMI cable.
Ok thought that might be the case. So I wonder if there is a solution of converting HDMI to Ethernet and sending via homeplugs?I know of the Juicebox product, but it looks expensive, so looking to use existing homeplugs if possible?
Just found these. Any thoughts on them?

I have the eBuyer "Xenta" Powerline adaptors. No setup required, just plug them in and off they go. You can set up encryption if you want using the supplied app, but there's nothing on my network that's important, and I highly doubt any of the neighbours will be using Powerlines. They work 100%, and I get full 100Mb link on them - they're advertised as 200Mb, but that's just marketingese for 100MB Full duplex.

Converting to HMDI-Cat5/6-HDMI is fine but doubt it would work over home plugs as well. If cabling is an issue, have the media streamer near your projector and stream the data via the home plugs to the streamer then output it to the projector via HDMI?I know of the Juicebox product, but it looks expensive, so looking to use existing homeplugs if possible?

Am I right in thinking that you need 2 ethernet cables, one from the router to the plug and one from the 2nd plug to your sky box? They really work excellently for everything with a network port inc sky anytime+,
