I've got a 42" panasonic plasma which I love - it was on the wall in my old flat and, having just moved house, I have to find somewhere else to put it.

It pretty much needs to go into a corner, in a fireplace alcove. There are two problems here - I can't find a nice looking corner stand and it can't be pushed completely into the corner as the fireplace (and hi-fi speaker) then obstructs the view.

I wondered about a wall bracket which is flat against the wall normally and hinges out when we want to watch a film or something and not have a compromised view. I'm sure these exist, but do they go 'saggy' after a while? I hate cables dangling, so do they have a sensible cable management solution?

Anybody got any ideas?

Edited to say, the the obvious place for it is on the wall above the fireplace - however, I didnt want the TV to be the main focus of the room in this place (as it was before).

Hi

There should be loads of corner mount brackets available. I have had a Premier mount bracket with a big Panasonic Business Plasma on it for about 10 years without any problem.

The problem with an actual corner bracket is that the fireplace will still block a portion of the screen (assuming the TV is at 45 degrees in the corner of the room).

I'm leaning towards a cantelever bracket, or a beovision 11 in the middle of the room (not really, cant afford frown )
