SWMBO was looking to buy a 36" to replace her 36" CRT, I persuaded her to up-size so she bought a 42" only to state that she wishes she'd gone bigger (I told her so but nooooo, what do I know??)... fast forward a few years and we're buying a place together so she's talking about a 55" cue the discussion "So remember how you wished your 42" was bigger? Well you wouldn't want to buy a 55" and think the same would you, so why don't we skip a step and get a 65" straight away?" She now wishes we'd gone smaller but I love it - could happily go to a 75"+ if funds allowed (and no threat of impending end of relationship!!! )

I like your style! Smart Alec!Lots of BIG TVs will soon to be discounted, OLED is in the way, and it's bloody amazing (4K). So just save your money, and wait. And yes, I know 4K stuff is scarce, but it's coming.

55" in the lounge
50" in the tv room
135" projector in the tv room
40" in one sons bedroom
22" in my other sons bedroom
22" in the conservatory
21" in my bedroom
I like tv.
In all honesty, we lead quite busy lives, so the 40" in one kids room has been on once or twice since it was relegated from the lounge when he has a pall over and plays the wii, the bedroom tv is only on when someone is sick about once a year and I don't think the tv in the conservatory had ever been on (relegated from son No 1's room).
So not as bad as it might look on paper. I'm still very council and ashamed of myself though.
