HDMI Splitter / Extender
Discussion
I want to show my Sky HD picture in my bedroom and to do so, I want to send the signal from my sky box downstairs, to my bedroom directly above.
Multiroom is not an option as I live abroad and I'm technically not allowed to have Sky
I've found this unit from ESYNiC which has a splitter at the sender end so there's no need to use an HDMI switch.

Has anyone got any experiences with these and are they any good? Also, do I need to use Cat 6 or will Cat 5e cable do? I've got 20m of cat 5e lying about so it would be good to use just used that instead of buying more cable.

I ordered one of these a couple of years ago. Works perfectly with cat 5.

Depending on the version of box, you should still be able to run a co-ax cable from RF Port 2, which can be enabled for remote control too.
HDMI over Cat6 is good when the units are good, but try co-ax first as it's cheap as chips!
A simple Google 'RF2 Sky' will give you all the info you need
