I got the letter through which was offering £110 (from current £83, £79 pre current increases).

I got it down to £84 if I removed UHD and they waived £20 admin fee.

This was for:

Sky Signature at £16 (that's £15 discount with an 18-month contract) - includes Entertainment & Box sets
Kids at £1 (that's £4 discount)
HD at £3 (that's £4 discount)
Complete Sky Sports in HD at £19 (£13 discount with an 18-month contract)
Cinema at £8 (that's £11 off when keeping Sports / in an 18-month contract)
Sky Multiscreen at £11 (that's your existing £4 off discount, due to continue until 14th November 2022)
Sky Broadband Superfast including Line Rental & pay as you talk calls at £26 (that's £7 discount, including £2 off with Signature. Each have an 18-month contract)

This was all over chat and first attempt this round, so I've pushed on with cancelling and will see if I get any better offers over next 31 days!

We were almost identical but with UHD but without Kids. For £90.

I used the route of whats new customer would get and without knowing they bettered it by £2.

Always see what you would get as a new customer. Sky bettered it for my recent renewal.

I got called by retentions who were able to offer me £80/month for all of the above and now also including UHD, so have extended for 18mths on that basis. Fairly painless process this time round.

My Sky price has just gone from £75pm to £108pm! I got a reasonable deal by switching to Sky Q a while back and it looks like it's ending big style. I have broadband, TV with Sports and Netflix. I really can't justify an increase of 50% so I'm going to start looking elsewhere, I'm really disappointed as I've been with them a long time (Gold VIP, or something). I rang and the best they could offer was £12pm off.

Did you say that you want to leave now, rather than you want a better deal?

Well, the problem is my broadband and TV packages are out of sync so I've still got 6 months to go before I can leave.

Cancel/provide 31 days notice for the TV, that will hopefully be enough to get their attention. I didn't actually cancel my broadband this time as I didn't want to risk any break in service, it didn't seem to matter

I moved from the 110pm letter offer to 84pm via chat to finally 80pm via call from retentions.

I’ve got to get the sports on again ready for the Prem restarting next week and I have a similar problem to you inasmuch as my base TV package is in contract for another 6 months. In previous years I’ve always taken out 12 month contracts so it is just ending as I’m ready to start again. Last year the best I could do was an 18-month contract, the rump of which is going to hold me back now I expect. I cancelled the sports back in May when last season ended.

I’ve not tackled them yet but I fear my hand is not strong as I can’t threaten to walk away from them.

I’ve just given them a call to thrash it out and ended up with the two football channels, which was all I wanted, for an extra £18 per month on a 31-day rolling contract, which I didn’t think was too bad. He also offered me the Cinema channels on the same basis for £3, so I thought I’d give that a try too.

Phone after eight at night you will be speaking to a jock in Dunfermline, sorry but my hearing not as good as it used to be and some accents I cannot understand.

Be polite and ask for a better deal.

Has always worked for me, diamond sky Q, only thing that pi££es me off is that all the offers are in London area , uneconomical to take advantage off unfortunately as I live at 56north

Bill just went from £71 to £113 for tv (no phone/broadband) when a deal expired. Best they offered on the call was £75 for same package, I cancelled and will see what happens. Might push me to actually quit, most of what we access seems to be netflix/prime/disney through the Sky Q boxes now anyway.

I've manage to get Sport and the usual channels but not movies for £35pm, which was fair value for F1, Indycar and cricket.

By the by, I also ordered a second hand Wifi dongle for my HD box which means I've now got Sky on Demand- a result!

Been with SKY forever.

They offered me £51.20 for SKY Q 2Tb box. Ultimate (inc Netflix), HD, , Multiroom. broadband, landline. 18 month contract.

My bill arrived and it was £15 a month more that the agreed amount. Called up and was told ' The offer we made was too good, we can't actually do that'.
Took 11 (Really) calls to sort out. (including them randomly adding 4 £10 charges). So painful.

They did exactly this last time I renewed the contract, promised one price to keep me in contact, then charged a load more. Was a nightmare to sort out then too.

I love having just one box / HDMI input /remote that does everything. Record TV, Netflix, YouTube, Amazon etc. But it's just too painful and time consuming to have this palaver every 18 months.

Noticed my bill was jumping up, so had to contact and play the game to reduce it down to a more palatable level. previously we were £43 was due to go up to £75

sports
movies
kids
hd (on the old hd box- communal dish so can’t do sky Q)

now up to £55 for 18months. all done over the little chat box/ help thingy. took an hour or so, but worth it to save some cash

if you went to retentions they would have got you back down to 43 again...

I went on live chat after cancelling last week, long story short down to £66 a month (was £71) for full TV package + netflix premium. Best retentions could offer was £75.

Noticed my bill had dropped off my previous £72/month offer so in a very quick web chat agreed this.

Sky Signature (Entertainment with Box Sets)
Sky Sports Complete Package (Includes HD)
Sky HD
UHD
Sky Cinema
Multiscreen

£69 per month for 18 months.
£20 one off admin fee, which is simply stupid but almost unavoidable.

Happy with that, only used the word "cancel" once.

Just renewed via the text chat (TV only) after telling them I wanted to cancel.
Was paying £56/month, increased to £91 when deal ended.

In the end after a bit of to-ing and fro-ing they got me down to £52/month on an 18 month contract.

Sky signature-£19
Sports HD -£19
Cinema-£8
HD-£3
Ultra HD-£2
Kids-£1
