Sky deals anyone?
Discussion
We moved house and brought the sky box we had from first singing up 3 years ago. The sky girl on the phone said the new box might not work and she would send out a new one for minimal cost. With things being tight I said we'd take a chance.
Of course the box we have will now not allow us to use the planner and record.
What the easiest and most cost effective solution?

I’m in temporary rented accommodation while my permanent place is being built. I will want sky sports and bt sports (both hd), multi room and internet. Should I just wait till the property is ready or will sky move the dish and internet connection for free and what sort of price would I be looking at. Don’t need movies or any other channels particularly.

Just had a New Customer deal pop up on CompareTheMarket, which gives the following for £60/mth:
- Sky Entertainment TV
- Sky Sports Complete (all channels minus BT Sport)
- 36Mb broadband
This seems like quite a good deal to me. Am I missing something?
Yep. Movies...- Sky Entertainment TV

Is this good value, or not?

For an extra £10/mth you can have Boxsets, Kids, HD add-on, Sports HD add-on and Cinema The complete bundle with Fibre. Now that's good value. Just PM
I can get the setup cost down if you wanted to stick to that £60/mth deal.
I'm moving house in a couple of weeks. I'm currently just on the unlimited broadband plan. With the move I'm looking to move over to fibre.
I can get Vodafone fibre unlimited for £23 a month with no set up fees. I'd rather stick with Sky but looking on their site they seem to want £25 per month and £60 set up.
What are the chances they'll do a deal to keep me?

If you are an existing customer, your chances of a deal are slim as I found out. Go to moneysavingexpert and use the broadband helper, i left Sky for BT for a significantly better deal using a cashback offer through that site.B17NNS said:

I switched from Sky fibre to Voda fibre when I ditched all my Sky package. I had quite a few issues with dropped connections and the router resetting itself. On trying to resolve, it was one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had. Wouldn’t come back to you, constantly chased, couldn’t do anything to resolve, so I envoked the 30-day cool off and went to BT. I’d avoid Voda like the plague now.
