Currently on £86.49 a month.

Have Boxed Sets and HD.
Sky Fibre
Line Rental
Sky Talk Anytime

We had fibre for free for AGES (3 years or so) due to a sky cock up.

What sort of deal can I get? I called them tonight and was offered £66 but that is still a lot more than Virgin are offering.

I would like Q any chance of getting it for free?

Current bill is £56.50 a month, I have just upgraded to Sky Q after joining the "Sky Club" as I was a valued customer.
Sky Q and Sky Q Mini being installed on the 24th, also just bought a Harmony Elite and have Google Home Mini's. This could be fun smile

Do the Google Mini's do something with Sky?

What's the best way to get a good deal? We move house tomorrow and my wife had a Sky contract at current house which has been cancelled.

Is there any advantage to me trying to get a new customer deal at new house or should I just just get her to negotiate a new deal as a moving customer?

Cheers

Do the Google Mini's do something with Sky?
Not with Sky directly, but they will control the Harmony Elite which in turn controls Sky.

A 33% saving isn't bad at all. I'd except(sic) that

I've had a £30 increase in my bill due to "discounts ending", called up this morning and after a 30 minute wait, was offered my current package (entertainment, HD, Fibre max and line rental) for £69.99 (£15 increase) so spoke to retentions and they offered it for £70.99 so I gave my notice in.

Will I be called with a better offer? There's no way I'm paying £70 a month for TV and Broadband.

I called back on the number suggested in the "are you sure you want to leave" email and was offered the following straight away:

Sky Q (I only had HD before)
Entertainment
HD
Kids
Boxsets including Netflix

Broadband (Fibre Max) and phone

£61.99 but I already pay for Netflix so that's a saving of £7.99 too thumbup

eta: After they did some more working out, it's actually £51.99 a month which is less than it was before thumbup

Hi guys,

Any deals going for existing customers? I'm coming up to the end of my current contract and my cost is going to go up to ~£90.

I've only got TV with sky as my internet/phone is with another provider.

Curently I've got the full package including the 2tb Sky Q box + 1 mini box. I'd appreciate anybody able to help me out.

Thanks

i'm still on the lowly sky HD (tenement flat, communal dish on the roof), but when my initial great deal of sports/ movies/ boxsets/ entertainment whatever....... for £32/month was coming to an end, I phoned up, gave them the usual nonsense of 'i'll just cancel, no value in it, dont really watch enough'....... they came back with £33 for another 18 months for sports/ movies box sets/ entertainments etc.... again. done deal, look forward to chatting in another 18 months time.

I’ve just negotiated the following for £84 a month; I didn’t know about this thread, so I’m not sure if I got a good deal or not?

Sky Q 2TB
Sky Q Mini (+ Multiscreen)
Sky Entertainment
Sky Cinema
Sky Kids
Sky HD
Ultimate On Demand
Netflix
Fibre Unlimited + Line Rental

I’m thinking it’s reasonable but not amazing.. They did the old “I can’t match the new customer offers” line when I questioned why it was £2 more than the website price...

Currently on a very simple deal, as local cabinet is at capacity for fibre BB:

Sky + HD, with box sets - £29.62
BB unlimited (avg c. 20mbps) - £11.01
Line rental – 13.29
Total - £53.92

Just been quoted £40 installation for the 2TB Sky Q box and extra £12 a month for multi room to get a mini box.

Don’t object to the £12 a month too much, as need the capability of the wireless box, with no sky connection in the new extension.

Problem is that my current discount expires in January and by upgrading to Sky Q I’m entering in to a new 18 month contract, which will lock me in to the January price rise.

Should I just cancel and wait for a retention offer, or can I get a better deal through Prohibiting?
