I’m just in a live chat with retentions and they have offered

Entertainment pack 20
HD Pack 1
Kids Pack 1
Box sets 1
Sports 16
Multi screen 10

This is on sky q, UHD where applicable etc

I think this includes everything bar movies? (I already use someone else’s Netflix via my Q box)

This seems a good deal? Although a few pages back sports seems to be available for 13

Currently with Virgin but contract is up mid October.

Paying £95 a month for Full House TV, 350 BB (although only get 100ish speed), Talk Anytime, Sky Sports and Sky Movies. Also have 2 Tivo boxes.

It's going up to £125 from October, so will have to ring and play the game again.

We had Sky Q a couple of years ago, so anyone know of any decent deals with them at the moment?
I can send you a deal for telly and BB but as far as i know (depending on area), we can't match virgin's BB speeds. I'm on Sky fibre max and get around 68mb average.

PM me and i'll send you the deal

Just ditched Q off. I didn't enjoy the interface, which is better than the tosh offered by Virgin but annoyed me when they made the coloured buttons redundant etc

Now on BB & Line Rental for £27, and Now TV for £7.99. Movies when I feel like it and Day / Weekend passes for the Sky Sports.

I think the dish and box days are over. Its legacy and expensive tech that they need to ditch anywhere with decent broadband.

I haven't missed it one bit, and if I start to I will do NetFlix via NowTV anyway as there is so much to catch up on. I have changed the LNB to FreeSat compatible and got a box for pausing terrestrial stuff for £80 one off ( plus £14 for the LNB ).

Why have all the box gubbins? I suppose it works with multi room but I dont want tv in kids rooms or our bedroom anyway, as a personal choice so it didnt work for me.

The coloured buttons are still there and the interface in my experience is the best I’ve used. The remote on the other hand is a nightmare.

Box sets are great, find something you like and start watching it. It will then auto download the next one and any series links will be smart enough to record new seasons even after a year.

Imageee that dish technology is becoming less required but it will go nowhere soon as the broadband infrastructure just isn’t there. They ditched the sky q over IP programme for this plus many other reasons.

It’s not cheap, and if I ever leave this job I’ll have to think carefully as I have everything in all of the rooms as much as I can.

The Q app is also excellent and will remember where you left off on programmes. Lots more to come with integrations as sky try to keep up with the big on demand players.

Have to say this is my view too (and I have a Logitech remote so don't have to suffer the supplied one).

It is an expensive luxury but it just works in our home across 2 TVs. I was a little disappointed recently that most of what I tried to download from my Q box to the Sky Q app wasn't available. This was due to licensing issues according to Sky, even though I could download the same films using the Sky Go app... I hope they will merge these two apps in the future but it was no biggie in the end.

That said, my total Sky TV and Broadband bill is soon to go up from £91 to £104.50 which puts it firmly in the "I'm not sure I'm happy paying this much" category...

Don't forget to send the Q boxes back!

Been on Broadband only for the past year - £27 pm

This week i have added the Entertainment package on for £12 pm, they also fixed the broadband at £27 pm (faster too apparently) - both 18 months. Total £39 pm, didnt think it was a bad deal (its on their website too)

I’m not sure. I just get the deals through as part of a perk of working there. There’s another few on this thread that might be able to detail more and can also offer deals.

I’ve run out of codes for now but will get more soon.

I am having trouble justifying the cost of our Sky package to my missus. This is what we are paying
Sky sports £28
Sky cinema £11
Sky + HD. £13
Multiscreen £13 x 2
Variety. £35.50
Broadband. £17.01
This broadband does seem a bit slow for our needs ( but that’s another issue)
Grand total of £130
Does anyone know of any deals at the moment to bring this cost down
Any info greatly appreciated

So I have just spoken with SKY and I think I have ended up with a good TV only deal, I have sky super fast broadband but that's been cancelled because nothing about it was super fast, I was only achieving 7-18 mps, if I jump to BT for my broadband I can get upto 300mps smile

SkyQ
Entertainment
Boxsets
Kids
HD
Sports
Sky Go

£33 for 6 months / 12 months for £35 18 months total contract length, what you think any good?

Hey Davie - looking for a deal here. Could you please provide a code/hook me up?

Mainly looking for the whole tele package (as have BB with another provider, (who I hate!) and stuck in contract) but if the math works may consider fibre from Sky too.

Many thanks in advance!!
