Initially the person on the ticket was me, then we switched to the Missus. Could we switch back to me again??

Was that after a call? Assume you were already on a deal that meant you had a cheap deal and now that has expired?

My package is similar, no Sports but I have phone and broadband and it went up to £116 last month (from £69) as I was out of contract, not that they told me! Managed to get it back down to £81 yesterday. Not impressed, but kind of over a barrel as I didn't have any warning to sort anything else out.

I@m not 100% on this as i'm a lowly IT dude. Miss Chief is very much more informed however i'm sure that when you take the contract out you are given the choice (or it's in the small print) that the contracts will roll over and it's down to the customer to keep on top of the approaching date and make plans for calling in plenty time to negotiate a new deal.

Not so much these days Davie, haven’t been customer facing for around six months. New rules state Sky should contact you when your contract is coming to an end.

I have @ £63.50
Box Sets
SkyQ Multipack
SkyHd
Entertainment
Kids
Sports Complete
Sports Hd

1st Feb increasing to £68.50
I have cancelled the Sports as rarely watch it (& some on eg Amazon now anyway)

So now £50 for the above - ‘discounted’ sports. I got it cheap as they couldn’t make the F1 channel work, part of my SkyQ silver package

Is £50 reasonable please?
I’ll give them a call if my F1 dies when Sports removed !

Sky BB no good here (rubbish Openreach line) so on Virgin BB

Give them a call and see what's possible. I can do deals but the best ones are for new customers, unfortunately.

This thread prompted me to check mine, I am on the last month of my discount. £66 going to £90 next month.

Seeing as Sky aren't hosting as much Football now (Amazon BT) and the Disney stuff is all going online (Kids, Marvel, StarWars etc) they are providing less and less content for more and more money.

Deffo time to call - Just tried now - 30 min waiting time!

I had a letter through stating that my contract was coming to an end but my prices will not be going up, they will honour the deal I was on until further notice, well played sky imo.

Moving soon, will be looking at getting Q with HD, F1 (so sports) and multi room.

Any deals floating about?

Not really sold on Sky internet, probably go with Zen. But I get FTTP so up to 350mb, maybe sky will be better on this?

TIA

ETA: Was this topic the one with the generous chap giving out discounts? Think he worked for sky and used codes for family and friends.
