Moving soon, will be looking at getting Q with HD, F1 (so sports) and multi room.

Any deals floating about?

Not really sold on Sky internet, probably go with Zen. But I get FTTP so up to 350mb, maybe sky will be better on this?

TIA

ETA: Was this topic the one with the generous chap giving out discounts? Think he worked for sky and used codes for family and friends.

Hello! Yes I can. There are a few though.

PM me and I'll send you the deal. I still owe on of the posters above a code too that I'll sort shortly
Done, thanks!
Is this for existing customers that are now out of contract as well?

Just had an email from Sky. Not sure on the offer, thoughts?

Sky Q, +£10pm from my current contract, free 1TB box (or £25 for 2TB, worth it?) and free mini box. Free installation.

Any good?

We are currently paying £42/pcm for Sky Q 1TB Box (HD) and Entertainment pack. This has crept up from £20ish/pcm that we were paying a few years ago.

Looking to keep Sky but cant justify the price. Any good deals going for something like the above by any chance?
Current Sky contract is in my wifes name only so presuming I can sign up as a new customer?

You can’t have just basic Entertainment at that price? Multiscreen? HD pack? Kids pack perhaps?

This is what I'm currently paying for the next 6 months or so (after some lengthy haggling last year, previously on Sky HD):

Sky Entertainment £15.00
Sky Kids £1.00
Sky Sports - Complete Pack £11.00
Sky Sports HD £2.00
Sky HD £1.00
Sky Q Multiscreen Pack £13.00

I primarily got Sky Q (with the 2TB box) so I could watch the F1 and Football in UHD, the second box they provide is sat in a box as I've only got 1 TV in my house. The issue I've got is that I'm so used to UHD that watching in anything other is rather unsatisfactory. I am tempted to move to BT in summer though, as UHD with HDR would improve matters further and Sky don't seem interested in getting on with that from what I've read.

Sky are mental..
Why not just do
Package A £30
Package B £40
etc
Get shot of thousands of 'retention' staff
Prevent the annual Sky/Virgin merry go round

Not everyone wants everything though? They've split the packages up more or less as much as they can. It'll never be to the point where people can pick and choose individual channels.

And they have a duty to shareholders and the stock market to maximise their return as much as possible. And I doubt it's thousands, maybe a couple of hundred on shift at any one time and maybe 500 total across the country.

The problem from a consumer perspective is that there is the standard process list, but at any time ‘special offers’ are available, so that some people are paying double what others pay for the same channels. Mix in bundles for telecoms and it becomes impossible to compare, especially as the good deals are often not advertised. There is zero transparency, and it is a painful process getting a ‘good’ deal. I appreciate Sky/Virgin/BT etc are in business to make money, but they make themselves hard to love.

Currently paying £32 for superfast broadband but think I'm set on adding sky TV.

Quick look online suggests entertainment and movies will cost an extra £26 so £58 total. Multiroom would be ideal but not worth £13 a month to me.

I'm thinking it has to be worth a phone call to see what they can do?

Hi all

Just renewed via live chat, 3 weeks after giving them cancellation notice as the offers when I called them weren't good enough:

Here is your package summary:
Sky Entertainment Pack @ £27.00 pm
Sky Kids Pack @ £5.00 pm
Sky Box Set Pack @ £5.00 pm
Sky HD Pack @ £5.00 pm
Sports & Cinema Pack @ £41.00 pm
So your total monthly cost will be £83.00 per month. ( without offer ) ======with offer you will get this deal for £53 a month for 18 months of contract £10 admin fee will be added in the first bill

Managed to get the above deal with Sky Q (moving from old Sky HD box). Ideally wanted multiroom but would have been an extra £13/m on top
