Sick of Sky and now i haven't had reception for 2 weeks - and they want £65 for an engineer visit.

We've lasted the last few weeks just with on demand so will be cancelling unless they offer to fix my dish for free - anyone had any joy with this? The dish must be 15-20 years old

After waiting to speak to someone on chat for 55 minutes, it cut me off. I was also waiting on the phone at the same time for a good 45 minutes who arranged a visit FOC and all repairs/replacements included FOC too, plus refund on my bill whilst i wait just over a week for the engineer

If you've been with Sky as long as the dish has been up then it's worth getting the MySky app which gives you VIP access. I've always gone straight through - even when they had their half price Black Friday deals.

Sounds like a good result in the end though. I've always found their support and engineers to be pretty good.

Hopefully they'll replace all the kit!!

18 months ago I rang them and they immediately offered a great discount for simply renewing my contract. We were paying £37 for entertainment HD and 2 HD sport channels.

I rang them last week and they barely offered any discount.

What was frustrating was them asking me what sports I watched and then trying to do me a "deal" all the whole set of sports channels when I'd said I only watch Premier League and some EFL.

I rang back after doing some numbers and asked to drop the 'football' channel and just keep the PL channel to save me a tenner a month. They didn't like that. I also said I'd be cancelling the PL channel a month before the end of the season to save £18 month during the summer, and they had the cheek to say why not keep the other football channel until then!

I've only been a customer for 19 years which I guess proves to them I'm unlikely to fully cancel.

It’s all gone to pot! Tried using my code on the phone and been told the packages changed yesterday. All codes will no longer be valid and new ones will be needed. I was told they weren’t working earlier in the week either.

So, the lady I was speaking with was ‘trying to get me a deal’, this was the offer

Signature package
Entertainment
Box sets
All sports
All HD channels
2 Sky Go
1TB sky Q
£40 credit
£39 month
Option for Netflix (2 streams) £4/month

When I looked before with the code David provided, it was more than this. And I’m awaiting A call for a better offer. We shall see. But I can’t test the code on the new packages.

You have to get them to play with the packages, they offer just the F1 sports channel, but if you add all sports, it’s cheaper due to the discount.

Thanks for the code David. Seems I’ve picked the wrong time to sign up, but the F1 starts soon!

That looks a really good deal to me.

Just had a quick look at the new packages and already confused. Couldn't seem to get something without Netflix despite it costing £6. I don't have Sky Q nor do I really need it or want it. They really hide the option to add individual sports channels too.

Anyone want to recommend me to Sky and get £100 for the privilege?

It’s on a Sky MasterCard, so as good as cash. I also get £100 as a bonus!

Yea, it does seem good. From the codes that get dished out here, I was looking at £39.50 but less content, so quids in. I didn’t want to spend more than £40/month!

They’ve offered me £50 cash back, unless someone recommends me and we both get £100 on a card, plus Sky would waive the £20 setup fee. So £120 for me. That’s 3 months free too!

I"d be grateful for a code if there is one available... I'm on 69 quid for entertainment and sport on an old box - I have to be able to do better...

Let me get signed up and I’ll send you a code rofl

Honestly, just phone them up. I don’t think David’s codes will work for a bit, that’s what she told me

You can’t use the friends and family introduction and the customer introduce a friend deals at the same time.

It's offers like @illmonkey's that annoy me (no offence illmonkey!). As I rang up and they could only offer me something for £53 a month and it didn't include everything they offered you (e.g. box sets).

You always hear about people getting great deals but it seems to be pot luck.

I’m not, just a deal from sky as their system didn’t take the referral and then the invite a friend.

Just say you’re leaving. Retentions always give better deals

There’s a half price deal for new customers at the mo. Send me a message and I’ll send it over. There’s a few of us sky folk on this thread now.
