Because it's all billed in advance so it's a combination of credits for part-months already billed. You can see the breakdown on their website in your bills section.
Ah, OK.. See that now. Cheers.

Just called up to try and get a better deal.

Currently paying £79.50 for Q plus silver multiscreen and films. Including free F1 legacy. Not in contract now.

All they could offer me was Signature, with everything as it is. So films, Q plus mini boxes, with F1 as a package (not legacy) and paid for at £65 on a new 18 months contract. Said the F1 could be paused so would be £55 with that paused.

I could get it down to £61 just by removing films, which we don't watch.

So really no offer from them, apart from a new contract..... Told them to cancel. Hope I get a call back from retentions, but how are people getting deals in the £30's with sports and everything?

Just to let you all know with regards to current engineer visits

Sky are currently only attending upgrade visits (only for customers that currently have no satellite signal)

Service visits for existing equipment that isn’t working.

No new install visits are currently taking place and they have all been pushed back

We cannot enter properties either (as of Monday just gone) so are having to muddle our way through asking customers to install boxes/ use existing entry holes as we cannot come in to drill holes etc.

I had an engineer visit booked for 24th to upgrade from Sky+ to Q. Received a text yesterday:
Hello, this is Sky. We're sorry but we have had to postpone your visit. This is due to new processes we're putting in place due to the coronavirus. We'll be back in touch in the coming weeks to rearrange the visit. Please stay safe in the meantime.

And then an email today:

A date for your diary

Your Sky TV will be set up on:
08/06/2020 between 8am and 5pm

Didn’t check my availability but I think all things considered that’s fair enough.

Just need to make sure I’m not being billed for Q in the interim!

Sky cancelled my early April appointment, due to Coronavirus. It got put back to 1st June. Got a text on Wednesday asking if I would like the install, but the engineer can't come into the house, I said yes, they followed up with a date of today.

Chap turned up, gave me the box (social distance style), I plugged it all in and away we went. He had to set it up through my window rofl

I can see them offer a non-visit install after all this blows over.

How come sky q needs an engineer visit?
If your'e upgrading from Sky + they will need to change the LNB as IIRC they are not compatible.

No friends and family deals.at the moment but I'll keep an eye out. There are a few on this thread now that can help out.

Also limited phone response so be prepared for a longer wait at times.

It’s all gone to pot! Tried using my code on the phone and been told the packages changed yesterday. All codes will no longer be valid and new ones will be needed. I was told they weren’t working earlier in the week either.

So, the lady I was speaking with was ‘trying to get me a deal’, this was the offer

Signature package
Entertainment
Box sets
All sports
All HD channels
2 Sky Go
1TB sky Q
£40 credit
£39 month
Option for Netflix (2 streams) £4/month

When I looked before with the code David provided, it was more than this. And I’m awaiting A call for a better offer. We shall see. But I can’t test the code on the new packages.

You have to get them to play with the packages, they offer just the F1 sports channel, but if you add all sports, it’s cheaper due to the discount.

Thanks for the code David. Seems I’ve picked the wrong time to sign up, but the F1 starts soon!

This has been a bit of a rollercoaster!

The lady called me back after this deal. Turns out, it was £49 including Netflix, she ‘was wrong’ before. I wasn’t that happy but went with it as I wanted it ASAP. Thought nothing more.

I got a call today, bloke from sky saying I’ve left stuff in my basket, do I want to go ahead? I strung him along and he’s basically offered me all the above but for £29(!) a month. I explain I actually did sign up, can he price match it to my account? He can’t but someone else can.

When I speak with them, I am told they cannot. I throw my toys out of my pram a little and say I’ll leave then, straight through to retentions!

I explain and the beltin’ geordie lad says he’ll honour the price I was told on the phone. He’ll even through cinema on for £6 (usually £19). I keep my install date and the £100 referral fee I got from a friendly PH’er on this thread.

So, £35/month gets me:
Signature package
Sky Cinema
Entertainment
Box sets
2x Netflix
All sports
All HD channels
2x Sky Go
1TB sky Q
FREE install
Now I've had this all installed, I've had a bill generated, and future bills presented on the website and they are charging me £56 a month, almost double what the last person I spoke to said.

You try to call and get told to hang up if you're not key workers etc, which is fair enough, I won't join the queue. How do I discuss this or cancel (in the cooling off period) it if they won't honor the price agreed if I can't contact them though?! I'm out of pocked near on £400 over the term.

I just renewed after a long wait with the online chat system:

Sky Signature (was entertainment)
Sky Cinema
Sky Kids
Sky HD
(already have a Q 2TB box)

£31pm, not a fantastic deal but with it being so difficult to get through to them it will do..

I used their online messaging (go through the help options on the website to quit and and if available, will give you the option). Type in a message, it took all day but someone eventually came back and sorted my broadband renewal

Thanks, was just going to ask how you got it!

ETA: Live chat isn't an option, I'll keep trying. If not, I'll send an email so it's on record.

My contract runs out next month. Currently paying £71.50 for all channels, HD and standard broadband

What's the best way of going about getting a new deal? Is it worth calling, I know i'll have a long wait, which is fine. Am I likely to get a good deal with all going on?

Does anyone have any codes going?

Thanks

I love sky, the content, the interface, the apps, all of it. But their customer service is woeful.

I messaged on FB yesterday at 3, only just had contact back. After some battling I have managed to end up paying £38/month and £54 credit (the £3 difference X 18 months). But I was told they couldn't price match initially, I argued it's not price matching, the verbal agreement was £35 on 10th March so they need to honor it!

Dealing with them is always painful. I've gone through 4 contract reviews since the beginning of March, every time, the person I have spoken to said the previous person was wrong.

Rang yesterday to cancel my broadband, didn't try to keep me signed up. Just as well because I was never going to renew. Need to wait till the 14th May to cancel my TV. See what they offer then. Pay about £70 at the moment for everything but kids, Sky Q and one mini box.
