Looks like you're paying full wedge for everything and paying line rental (no longer required)

Definitely worth a phone call!!

So two questions
Am I being shafted?
How do I tell if I’m out of contract?
(Attachment should show I pay £125/month)
did you ask for the inclusive calls package? It might be the one they added without asking a while ago. And get really obnoxious when you ask them WTF they're playing at. I canned broadband with them because of it.

To be honest Mrs Rompy usually sorts these things out as I’m likely to tell them to stick it if I get involved. Last time that happened we ended up with bt.
Think it’s time she gave them a call and see what they’ve been overcharging us for and what they can come up with in return for another contract. I’m pretty sure we’re out of contract now although they don’t make it easy to find out.

Log into your online account, go to Message Centre (Click on your name top right) then go back through the messages until you find one that matches your last new contract. Mine is entitled "Confirming your new offer" and contains start dates and minimum terms for each package.

Great - found it. Thanks.
October 2018 for 18 months.
Looks like we are ready to negotiate a new deal.
Will mull over tactics for a few days. As I said earlier last time I went via disconnections team they called my bluff.
It should be easier now to do this, but I find it harder than buying a car!!

Well that was easier than I expected.
Slashed almost 50% off the monthly cost with latest virtually identical packages (except the evening/weekend calls which we didn’t use).
Line rental is now included in broadband package.
Very pleased with that result.
And worth recording here that anyone in the same position just needs to contact them. I actually did it by their chat system.
Thanks for the pointers and advice.

The standard Sky package prices are more simple now
My SkyQ + 2 extra boxes is £44.50 a month
Everything except sport & movies. Although I can add on movies for £9 a month for 18 months
I think it’s pretty good as an official price, can’t be arsed with haggling, just pressed a few buttons to get this
Openreach BB is rubbish at mine, so have Virgin fibre
I'd expect BB to be included for £44.50
Maybe, but only Virgin works here..
I’m happy with the price

I've just been offered a £24 sky remote that I do not need for "free" as a Sky VIP member.

Now I know it isn't £24 to them, but I'd prefer £2 a month of my bill.

Any idea why Sky are doing this? It's not often you get anything that is truly free these days so what's the catch?
To make you think they are generous to thier loyal subscribers... Of course we know better. In fact they know that we know better, so all a bit of a dance. Like you say, taking a few quid off each month would be more appreciated.
Despite the fact I will never use the voice control bit (although it does work very well), the new remote seems to be more powerful, working through the black glass of the cabinet my sky box is in unlike the previous one that I need to leave the door open for.

So I'm not completely disappointed.

Any chance I can nab a code too please.

With Leeds finally back in the premier league, looking to be able to enjoy this in ultra HD. Would only want sky tv, not tel or broadband

I'm in the market for joining Sky TV for the first time.

Online its Signature + Netflix + UHD + Sky F1 (not interested in other sports channels) for £45pcm.

Can that be beaten with any PH offers / codes?

Can an ignoramus ask a question?

What is the cheapest way to get Sport? It's only Rugby (Union) that I am interested in. Well, perhaps cricket, oh and possibly road cycling?

I have a dish and an old Sky box from a long ago, non subscription deal. Already got broadband, phone etc.

Any ideas, please? What is it likely to cost me?

BT Sport I think have Premiership Rugby, Sky the cricket and Eurosport is the channel for cycling. Cycling is cheapest, I have Eurosport for £20 per year and watch it on the TV using the Eurosport Player App on the Fire TV Stick. For the Rugby & Cricket I would expect your looking at £40 per month minimum for Sky and BT Sports.

Edit - BT offering all their sports channels plus Sky Sports via the Now TV App for £40 per month, but you need to buy their broadband too.

Sky deal looks similar, £40 per month to add Sky Sports and BT Sport, but you need basic Sky TV package to at £25 per month to start with.

£40 for Rugby - right?

Is that plus £40 for cricket, plus another £20 for Cycling?

£100 a month for the three!!!! Or have I missed the point?

You'll need BT Sport and Sky Sport to get cricket and rugby, although BT have some cricket too (think they have the Ashes in Oz for example, but UK tests and county are on Sky. Eurosport for cycling, World and British Superbikes, Le Mans etc will come with any Sky package you get, even without a Sport package.

My Eurosport subscription is the online player and is £20 for the full year, but I watch on TV via the Firestick and it streams well. I refuse to pay for a Sky Sports or BT Sports subscription and it covers what I watch most (cycling, superbikes etc).

So to add, on the BT website at the moment, they will currently do BT Sports and Sky Sports (but you'll be streaming the latter via Now TV which I don't think offers all Sky Sports Channels) for £40 per month, but you'll need to factor in the cost of the BT Broadband too which looks to be mandatory. Not sure if the BT package will include Eurosport though.

Sky currently have an offer of Sky Sports and BT Sports reduced from £55 per month to £40 per month, but you need to add the basic Sky channel package to that which is £25 per month to start with.

List of current Sporting Contract rights here, unfortunately it's a mix between Sky and BT (a few contracts up in 2020-21 also) so you may need to see what you really want to watch before deciding if you want/need both or just one or the other!
