My fibre deal is up on 28 December, and TV on 8 February.

Having just logged in to my account, I'm being asked to renew online, with what doesn't look like a very good deal.

Is it too soon to give them a call and try to negotiate?

Currently on the following:

Sky entertainment £21
Box sets £2
Sky sports complete £13
Sky sports HD £2
Sky HD £3

BB superfast £27

I'm tempted to switch to BT as I don't feel like I get value for the £21 spent on entertainment, and I've cancelled multiroom as £14 a month for a sky q mini was annoying.

Thanks

Snap on the fibre.

So you simply called them up and asked for the Black Friday discount for existing customer?
I’d very much appreciate that saving for 18months
Not quite, my 18months was up in December, so all my prices were due to jump up after I took my last deal 18months ago.
I just asked if I could pay the same as I’ve been paying please. Took an hour or so, but they were really pretty good really. Never got moved about to other depts or anything. My part of the deal was stopping sky kids to save £5 but don’t need that now anyway!

When I log on to sky.com I get the "50% off our best packages Black Friday" screen but my only offer is Sky Cinema for £9.50 instead of £11.

Isn't that false advertising?

Anyone else noticed that since talking to Sky they have had £5.00 discounted by £2 so £3 added to their bill for Broadband Boost?

Wondering WTF this was, it appears that Sky charge extra for their 3Mb in every room guarantee. More on moneysaving expert here

Cheeky gits!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Nothing said to me on this. Especially as I have a mesh wifi to guarantee best speeds in every room.

Going to leave it a day to calm down before I make a call.

Their adverts and banners mean nothing - Everyone seems to get a different price.
If not false it is very sharp practice.
OFCOM were supposed to be getting TV and comms providers to publish more transparent pricing - Situation now seems worse than ever.

£11 isn’t the standard price
Sounds like a previous ‘offer’ ?

Std price for cinema is 19 quid. The 11 is a separate current offer.

I'd say its only worth a fiver.

I did have movies for £5.99 via ‘free’ NowTv contract
However it was a bit of a faff to use
Happy to pay £9.50 to get it via the convenience of SkyQ
Now I actually use it!

Nothing in junk mate either sorry.

Did you forward to my email or just reply by accident? I have done that a few times and it doesn’t get there.
Other than that I don’t know but can email you my work email if it helps?

Question to those in the know:

I'm on a very old deal paying:

Sky Variety Pack - £37.95
Sky HD - £14
Sky Sports F1 - £0 (Legacy Channel)
Sky Fibre Unlimited - £24

Plus line rental I'm paying £96 for not much telly. I can swap online to Sky Signature, which appears to be exactly the same as my Sky Variety and I will instantly save £20 per month. BUT will I still be able to keep Sky Sports F1? I don't watch any other sport so that's the only 'extra' channel I want, but I'm concerned if I swap my basic pack it will remove my legacy entitlement to the F1.

Any help or advice appreciated! Many thanks.

Looking to upgrade to Sky Q but they want £99 installation fee which is a bit of a kicker for an existing customer. Has anyone managed to get this down? I’m Sky VIP Gold if it makes any difference.

You'll lose it unfortunately, as you've mentioned it's a legacy entitlement and switching base package will remove it
