Hi all

As per thread title, a mate needs to know what makes and models within the above budget he should consider. He needs two pairs.

What are people's thoughts?

Thanks

Bought a pair of Cambridge C155s from Richer sounds last week for £150. To me they are very good.

Have a phone around for some of these

You might be able to get them around £150.00 for two pairs.

They are excellent for the money.

Sorry £150 for each pair, I think retail they are about £200 a pair, but I know we don't pay anywhere near that for them.

Take a look on eBay for cut price monitor audio or blue. The budget is a bit below what you need for good value in ceiling (About £250 per pair).

Where did you get to with this?

I need 4 x 8ohm ceiling speakers and am stumped - very little advice on the net.

My mate ended up sorting out himself locally in the end. Some of the chaps on here can help?

They are cheaper on amazon, given the markup that amazon do on the kit I supply these are probably about £40 trade.

I'm using some Yamaha NS-IW480C speakers as the rear surrounds in my home theatre. Not ideal placement for this purpose, but the tweeters are directional so they're actually really effective. Mine run from a Marantz AV receiver and work alongside Focal front and centre speakers.

I was expecting to be disappointed but the bass output, clarity and neutral sound is brilliant - especially for around £100 pair. I'd easily pay double. They'll fill a med/large room nicely.

Each speaker has 2x directional tweeters (adjustable) with an 8" woofer.

Looks like they may have been discontinued now, but worth looking around for stock or looking at their newer models.

Monitor Audio for budget
Sonance for low/mid price performance
KEF & B&W for brand

As ChasingRaceCars has said PH discounts available on all but B&W.

Which B&W CCM and Kef Ci range should I go for.

Roughly £180 for speaker? Also best place to buy 10 speakers.
